I bought my laptop and it worked fine for months. All of a sudden the wireless connection does not want to stay connected. It constantly disconnects and reconnects and even states that there are no networks available even though my Verizon wireless modem is less than 5ft away. Once I reboot though it will detect them, but will once again do it's disconnect/reconnect deal. Is there anything I can do to possibly fix this problem so that my laptop will stay constantly connected like its supposed to? Thank you.

Re: Acer Aspire Wireless Connection
lets start with reinstalling the wireless drivers / software on the laptop.
open device manager by rightclicking my computer and select manage.
on the left side select device manager
then on the right side, find network adapters, open it from the + mark
right click on the wireless adapter and select uninstall. Then restart the pc. The wireless will be reinstalled when you start up the pc again.
See how your wireless works, if there is no change go back and right click on the wireless and select properties, then click on the drivers tab. and click on update driver, let it look for a update online if asked. if it doesnt find a update

If you are using 2.4 gig cordless phones or a cell phone with a bluetooth near your computer or the router these can interfere with your connection also a microwave can sometimes interfere. Also look at making sure your drivers are up to date for the wireless card.

Hi, if you are sure you didn't changed the password on the wifi router and it stopped working itself try restoring the system to the date it was working fine, but little caution all the settings/ programs installed after the restore date will be lost
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts. choose the date ie. bold and on which it was working fine and follow instructions

Go to the Device Manager and check Wireless Network Adapter properties. Is the Wireless adapter installed, working properly and enabled? If not then reinstall the wireless LAN driver.
If it is OK then go to the Control Panel and click on Network Connections and right click on the wireless connection anf then click on Repair. This will make the wireless router issue a new IP address to the wireless LAN card and you whould now get access to the Internet & your network.
If this doesn't work power down your wireless router wait 1/2 minute, power up and boot up your laptop after all the normal LEDs on the wireless are on.
Let me know if you still have problems plus all error messages.

The connection between the laptop's internal wireless antenna and its wireless card may been disconnected. Best to take it in to a computer shop for fixing. If you want to fix it, open the PCI-E cover on the bottom of the laptop, then reconnect the antenna wire. If that doesn't work, get it serviced.
