On the top of the switch (inside the heater) there is a common connection.....even though it looks as if it is connected (electrically), it isn't electrically affected by the switch; it's just used as a post. It's just the place where the striped wire connects to the "common" point for the heater coils (they are in a parallel). Also, while you're in there you might want to put some electrical grease on the exposed conductors.....mine had quite a bit of corrosion (which was the reason for the failure). I had to replace 3 of the female connectors.

SOURCE: connecting 240 volt singer baseboard heater

Power from your panelbox goes to the wall mounted thermostat. From there a two wire goes to the heater. In the heater one overload wire goes to the heater. the other overload wire goes to one side of your LINE. the other wire goes to the heater wire.[LINE]

The company has a web site that can assist with manuals, parts, etc. here.

In order to find info on their site, the year of manufacture is needed (but I couldn't find your model number). If your's is older than a 2004 model - you need to contact customer service directly.

Call or fax directly:

Phone: 1-866-661-1218
Fax: 1-561-665-8111

Hopefully, this will get you what you need. Good luck!

20 years old! I serious doubt that there is an Owners Manual or schematic still in existence, However, if you want to give it a shot call DImplex Customer Support to see if they can help you.

If you live in the UK call 0845 600 5111
If you live in the US call Dimplex Technical Service 888-346-7539

Hope this helps you find what you need.

In cavity 1, the 30 amp fuse has no power with key on? A wiring diagram shows that fuse gets power right from a wire from the ignition switch, with key on.
Wiring diagrams here:
You just have to agree to license agreement, go to "technical information". To TSB's and wiring diagrams: enter year, make, and model-make sure you are on wiring diagrams, not tsb's, then pick the diagram you want to look at. Every wiring diagram on your vehicle is available.

I have a Rheem 82vs50-2. Can this heater's elements be wired continuous for 9.0kw and is there any mfr documention that allows continuous wiring of this heater

You have dual element 240Volt tank-type electric water heater.
You want to change wiring from non-simultaneous to simultaneous.
Copy following link for exact internal wiring diagram, and external wiring change: Remember the wire from breaker box will not support both elements without tripping breaker, so you will need additional 30 amp breaker and 10 gauge wire, or single 50 amp breaker and 6 gauge wire.

I bought this wall mount heater because I was told it was 120 volt. I opened it up to look at the wiring and found a small wiring diagram that indicates 240 vold input. Which is it? Intertherm WA-1000-4...

In general, if it has a heater element, examine it carefully. It has to have a voltage and wattage or amperage rating on it somewhere. I would start there. I would also have to lean towards the wiring diagram. It should show 2 lines of power, usually L1 and L2, and a ground and possible an neutral. Hope this is of some help. Let me know if you need more and I will dig a little deeper for you.
