Question about HP LaserJet M1522nf Multifunction Printer (CC372A)

Open Question

Hello, I've recently installed Windows 7 32bit on my PC. I searched on the HP site to find the HP Universal Driver and successfully installed it to get my M1522nf MFP working. However, that's only the Printing part. I cannot scan documents into my PC like I used to. I've since gone back to the HP site to download the M1522series-win7-full-solution-EMEA4-v.4.3 file available. When I load it, it installs fine until it reaches a stage where the installer prompts for me to "Connect Your Device Now" 1. Make sure the device is powered on. 2. Connect the USB cable. So, until the installer can "detect" my printer, which is already working and connected to the PC, I cannot press the NEXT button on the installer to complete the installation. I've tried all methods (i.e. plugging out the USB cable and replugging it in; switching the printer on/off) but to no avail. PLEASE HELP! Thank you in advance. Regards, Derek.

SOURCE: not recognize usb printer hp laserjet 3050

Hi, I would suggest you update your printer drivers with fresh drivers, try this, follow instructions exactly as written:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop(watch for the light yellow bar at the top of window viewing pane, click on this and choose – download file - . Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done.

Can't find sharp ar-bc320 driver for 64bit, there's only PCL5 driver which won't work, we need PCL6 driver for this model.

Sharp does not natively support or provide a PCL6 driver for this device. That being said, another possible workaround to provide you with a PCL6 driver for this is to try the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 x64bit. This driver simply prints direct to the IP address that the printer uses on the network. You may sacrifice a few special features of the device using this driver, but I've had excellent success with it and recommend trying it.
Here's a link to the driver:

Hope this helps!

Hello i've got an audio problem for my HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook, I want to download an audio driver after reformatting it but it seems that the drivers i've found on the internet...

Hi joriem739.

The link you provided is from the official site, so it means you can't find anywhere else on the internet a much better site to download the drivers you needed. Just make sure you choose the right driver. Are you using xp or windows 2000? There are 2 options there to download for windows xp, have you tried them both?

Microsoft WPD FileSystem Volume Driver message Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Hello.

It seems you have a faulty driver.

Recommended resolutions
A registry problem was detected.
This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure opening the service subkey, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service subkey. Here are some things that you can try to resolve this problem.

Method 1. Uninstall and reinstall the driver
Uninstall the driver from Device Manager and scan for new hardware to install the driver again. Here is how: First, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
1. Click "Start" button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the "Search" bar and press "Enter". Click "Continue" if necessary.
2. In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
3. Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".
Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.

You may be prompted to provide the path of the driver. Windows may have the driver built-in, or may still have the driver files installed from the last time that you set up the device. However, sometimes, it will open the New Hardware Wizard which may ask for the driver. If you are asked for the driver and you do not have it, you can try to download the latest driver from the hardware vendor's Web site.
  1. On the device Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall . Follow the instructions.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Open Device Manager, click Action , and then click Scan for hardware changes . Follow the instructions.
Method 2. Revert to the most recent successful registry configuration This content is designed for an advanced computer user.
The Last Known Good Configuration feature is a recovery option that you can use to start your computer by using the most recent settings that worked. The Last Known Good Configuration feature restores all the registry information and driver settings that were in effect the last time that the computer started successfully.

My computer runs windows 7, will the PSC 1210 printer be compatibke

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Yes the Printer is compatible with Windows 7 both 32bit and 64bit, you can install the printer on Windows 7 without any eternal driver source, the drivers for this product model are already included in the Operating System, all you have to do is;
  • Turn the product on.
  • Connect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable to the printer, and then to the computer.
  • A Your devices are ready to use window might display on the screen.
Note: When you connect the USB cable to the product, and then to the computer, Windows 7 activates Windows Update. Windows Update searches online for the most recent product driver on the Windows Update site. If the online driver is more recent than the driver stored in Windows 7, the computer downloads and installs the updated driver. The Windows Update process takes place automatically. Therefore, you might not notice that the process is in progress.
