First make sure audio driver is installed on computer. You can check it in device manager right click on my computer icon then click on property then hardware->device manager then you can see all drivers list.Make sure audio driver is there if it is not installed then reinstall audio driver for your computer .If you haven't driver disk then download driver from your computer menufecturer web sites. Also make sure sound is not muted in control panel->sound property. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Open mic??

If you run a windows xp ..try to click the volume icon in task bar (tray ) double click ..and will bring the volume control window In there look under the mic and lower the volume ..or mute it until you use it ..or if it has advanced section ..click on it ..and remove the boost ..
In windows 7 ..just go t control panel and select the sound icon ..and in there select mic ..and advanced and remove the boost or if it does not have it either mute it ..or lower the volume for it ..

Is there a sound/volume lock key that may have been hit by mistake........audio and sound in my computer dont see any fault, but have almost no sound

I can help you with your 'almost no sound' computer problem.

The best thing to do when you are not sure what your pc is doing with its sound is to bring up your audio mixer. Do this by right clicking on the volume control icon by the clock on your task bar and selecting 'Open Volume Control', or go through the Control Panel if your taskbar has no volume icon visible.

When looking at your mixer, set Master Volume and Wave mixer bars to about 75%. Now return to whatever application you are using and check where its volume is set. Generally, everything should be set to 75% and then your external speaker volume should be set to a comfortable level.

I hope that helps.

if the volume controls of the speaker is set to 100% together with the volume control on your computer then still get a low volume, try some other device where you can use your speaker like mp4,if still got same problem, bring it to a service center there might have a problem with the amplifier.

Everything connected right can't hear music.

You tube might use a different method to control volume. Check your media player's volume setting. If that doesn't solve the issue, right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray to bring up the volume control, then see if any of the volume is at the minimum level.

Also, if you can give more detail about the type of computer, make, model, etc. I can help you further.

Pc not recognising my mp3 player

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
