Question about HP LaserJet P3005n Printer

Printer freezing up when i turn it on it just says 008mb****** and wont print anything when we try screen goes blank. and freezes again.

Common issue with the P3005 series. Your formatter board is bad. You need to call HP first and have the serial number of your printer ready. They will tell you if it is covered by their warranty program for the formatter board. If it is then great. If not look to spend between $200 and $300 geting it fixed. I know this is not the best of news, but I have seen this many times on this model of HP. If you don't fully trust me on this just do a google search for HP P3005 formatter and you will see a LOT of people in the same boat as you are. A few people have fixed their own board by "baking" it in the oven for about 5 minutes. I have tried this and it worked for 2 weeks then failed. The only true fix and I even question this, is to get a repaired board from HP. I just think that HP has a design flaw at work here and so even a new/repaired board is doomed to fail eventually. My experiance level here is 27 years servicing copiers and printers. I have personally seen this problem on 4 or 5 of my customers P3005 models.

Try to update your machine's BIOS. Download it from the internet (search for the Gateway drivers - bios).

IBM T30 screen ramdomly goes blank and computer freezes.


Reset your bios settings to "Bios defaults", then disable power management.
In Windows, go to device manager and try to detect new hardware. Follows screen instructions.

My ps3 wont boot past the title screen!!


If you can get to it without it freezing use the System Restore function under:

System->Settings>Restore PS3

If you can't get to it because of freezing you should put your hard drive into another PS3. It will see it as a new drive and prompt you to format it. Afterwards put it back into your PS3 and it will do the same thing again.

It doesn't matter which PS3 yours or the one you put your hard drive into, they're all the same as far as the process goes.

This will fix it for sure.

u have a usb printer connected to the system
disconnect that and start the system it should work

I log my details in and then it freezes with a blank screen - nothing !

Have you tried deleting stored cookies and temp internet files

If you are using Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer and click on the "Tools" menu.

In the "Tools" menu, click on "Internet Options".

The Internet Options pop-up window appears.

Under the General Tab select the "Delete Cookies" button.

Delete cookies by clicking "OK".
Select the "Delete Files" button to clear the Internet cache. Make sure to check the box to "Delete all offline content".

Delete temporary Internet file history data by selecting "Clear History".

Restart your computer and try to log in again, this should fix your problem

I DON'T THINK ITS THE PRINTER. THIS IS A SOFTWARE OR NETWORK ISSUE.

1 IT SOUNDS LIKE CORRUPTED FILES BEING SENT TO PRINTER, OFTEN PDFS. CLEARED ALL PRINT JOBS? ALSO AS400 PRINT QUEUE?
2 ALSO SOUNDS LIKE A VIRUS POSSIBLY "Adot.BAT". go online to housecall.com and do online virus scan.
3 OR, SOME OTHER CHANGE OR NEW DEVICE ON THE NETWORK MIGHT BE INTERFERING.

FIRST, TRY ISOLATING THE PRINTER FROM YOUR NETWORK. UNPLUG THE PRINTER FROM ALL DATA INPUTS AND RESTORE DEFAULTS. (LEFT OR RIGHT BUTTON TO SERVICE MENU, PUSH CHECK BUTTON, LEFT OR RIGHT TO RESTORE DEFAULTS, PUSH CHECK BUTTON).
IT SHOULD RESTART, THEN CALIBRATE. NEXT PRINT A CONFIGURATION PAGE FROM ITS MENUS, IF NOT TWO PAGES NET CARD IS DEAD.
IF OK SO FAR, TRY CONNECTING IT JUST TO A LAPTOP. USB ONLY THIS WAY, OR USE A NETWORK HUB, SEPARATE FROM YOUR NETWORK. INSTALL ANY OLD LASERJET DRIVER OR PRINTER ON THE LAPTOP JUST TO TEST IT.

IF ALL THIS WORKS, THE PRINTER IS FINE. BEFORE RECONNECTING THE PRINTER TO YOUR OFFICE COMPUTERS, FIX YOUR NETWORK & INTERNET OR VPN PROBLEMS.
THEN, DELETE ALL HP LASERJET PRINTERS & UNINSTALL ALL HP DRIVERS ON ALL NETWORKED COMPUTERS AND SERVER. (EXCEPT ZIPPED DOWNLOADED DRIVERS). START NEW HP PRINTER INSTALLATION COMPLETELY FROM ZERO. REINSTALL ONLY THE DRIVER YOU NEED. PCL5 IS RECOMMENDED.
