What would cause 5 dryers to all not heat up?

Only thing that could cause all 5 not to hear up is a blocked dryer vent hose if possible start outside where dryer vents through the wall and if not there then continue right into the dryer following the vent hose inside it has to be blocked somewhere either that or you have TERRIBLE luck buting dryer :) lol I'm almost positive you will find a blocked vent house!!

Dryer wont heat. we have cleaned out all the lint, replaced the top thermostat and are frustrated. seems like it heats for a couple minutes then nothing.

Sounds like a bad heating element . Many dryers use a dual coil setup ( one coil for low to med, both for high heat). Also check your dryer discharge vent. A blocked vent will not allow the humidity to escape, which will result in your clothes not drying or taking multiple cycles to dry. Turn the dryer on, and find the vent discharge on the outside of your home and just hold your hand there. If you do not feel substantial airflow you have a blocked vent or blocked discharge tube. But from what you described, I would bet on either a bad heating element or failed heating element relay.

Zanussi TC7102W drying problems

not likely the timer but it does control the heat circuit. suspect the fan-air flow is being blocked and the elements are cycling on a safety thermostat instead of the operating thermostat. check for blocked or restricted vent and plenty of air coming out the vent when running. check for a flapper on the vent not opening or only open part way.

My Maytag MDE4000AYW electric dryer is not heating and drying my clothers

Check for a blocked vent. If the vent is blocked or restricted it will cause the thermo fuse to blow. If the thermo fuse is not blown check for a broken heating element. I hope this may help.

Takes 4 or 5 cycles to dry clothes.

Most of the time this problem is attributed to a blocked or more precisely, a partially blocked dryer vent system. When a dryer vent is blocked it stops the air flow and the heat backs up into the dryer turning the heat sensors on and off prematurely taking longer for the clothes to dry. Over time this may cause the heat overload fuse to blow and you will have no heat at all.
First take a look at the dryers ducting between the dryer and the wall to make sure the vent duct (normally a flexible style) has not been crushed or kinked.
If the dryer duct to the wall is in good shape then in most cases there is a blockage some where between the wall where the ducting connects to the vent and where it exhausts outside.
The major cause of a blocked dryer duct occurs when the water in the clothes is heated to a high temperature and turned into steam, which is then exhausted out the back of the dryer to outside. As the steam cools on its journey and gets closer to the outside of the house, it tends to get cooler and turns back into water droplets. This is going to be the point where the dried lint, as it escapes past the lint filter, sticks to the newly formed water drops and starts a gradual chocking down of the 4" diameter vent to 3",2",1" and finally stops all flow of air.
Remember, the dryer is designed to exhaust so many cfm's and the more choked the vent the more heat is backed up into the dryer.
If you cannot access the dryer ducting, because it is in the wall or ceiling, to look for the obstruction, then look in the yellow pages or contact the local appliance repair service company and get the name for a good duct cleaning company.

Dryer heat cuts out after 10 min. please help tested thermostats and element. cleaned out lint where eve i could. what else could it be

Pull the dryer out , and remove the vent hose from the dryer . Dry a load of clothes , and see it it dryes in a suitable time . If so , then a vent problem , either kinked hose , outside vent blockage , or if an up vent thru the attic , then possibly blocked . A dryer either heats or doesn't , and excessive time , indicates a venting problem .

Our model medt5870tw0 maytag dryer does not dry properly

First , remove the vent hose from the dryer to see if good air flow is coming out the dryer vent . If not , could have a bad blower wheel . If so , then check the vent hose AND vent to outside to see if blocked . A dryer will either heat or not heat . Since your dryer heats , try drying a load without the vent hose connected to the dryer and see if it heats fine (telling you , a vent problem is apparent . Sometimes a dryer is pushed too far back , kinking the vent hose also .

Replaced dryer belt dryer was heating now isn't

There could be 2 problems coming into play here.
1. Check to make sure there is no blockage in the vent piping. If the vent is blocked and the air cannot discharge from the dryer, the heating element will overheat and the overtemp thermostat will turn the heating element off.  (By the way, Blocked vent is usually the No. 1 Culprit in problems like this.)
2. Check the heating element and make sure that the heating coils are all intact. An open or shorted heating coil will cause the same symptom.

Frigidaire dryer heats but clothes not drying

A1 Pull the dryer out away from the wall. Unhook the vent from the dryer completely. Do not put anything over the dryer exhaust on the back of the dryer. Do a normal load with the vent unhooked. If it dries better or ok like this then the problem is in the dryer venting. Like a blocked vent pipe or a smashed or restricted vent hose.
