Question about Samsung Refrigerators

The inner edges of the doors are extremly hot to the touch where they burn if the door touches you. Prior to this the fridge was periodically making very loud churrning type of noise for a few weeks and that suddenly stopped

Hi,
The manufacturer runs a freon line through the cabinent so there will be no condensation on the case where the doors seal. This is only supposed to be lukewarm, so if it is hot then you have one of several problems. If your condensor under the refer is dirty it can cause this. If your condensor fan motor is burned out or running slowly it can do this. If you have a bad compressor it can do this.
The fan you should replace is called the condenser fan. It's the one that blows air across the outside coils. When it fails, you'll usually notice abnormal heating of the front of the divider between freezer and fridge. Thanks Proton

Replece glass oven door kitchenaid kebs278dss8

Oven doors have at least two panes of glass (air gap between so little ones touching outer glass do not get burned). You remove the screws around edges of door (top, sides, & bottom) and lift frame up and forward to get outer face off. The glass in ovens is tempered to take heat so you can not just use regular glass. You will find outer piece is sometimes the entire size of door but is painted black with the "dot" pattern that lines up with inner piece. Once you get face / frame off you will usually find the handle screws and mounts for inner glass. Sometimes inner glass sealed with high temp sealant. But make sure you use correct glass or someone could get hurt.

The hot temperature that occurs in the fridge body is normal and you have nothing to worry. It is the result of the heat pumps during a normal operation. Once the fridges reaches the normal temperature it will automatically shuts off and the hotness of the body will disappear.

The outer glass of my oven door shattered, can I still use it until it is repaired?

Hello- I would be careful using the oven mostly because the inner glass will be VERY hot to the touch, meaning you will get burned if you touch it. If you have children I would refrain from using the oven, too risky. If it is just you, or just adults then you should be ok to use it until you can repair it. Keep in mind that you will probably lose a lot of heat out the door and it make take longer to bake. Again, be wary of the inner door glass if you use the oven. Do a test run with a low heat and see how it performs. Hope this helps, best regards.

The inside glass of my oven door broke when I used the "self cleaning" last night. is it safe to use the oven in this condition?

No because the outside glass is not designed to take all that heat from the oven. Also the dual glass setup allows the outside glass to not get super hot to the touch(insulated) and so without the inner glass the outer will get extremely hot. Especially with a long cooking time...like when you bake a turkey. So the outer glass could break or someone like a child could get burned if they touch the glass. I suggest you do not use it.

If the mullion heater around the doors is hot to the touch the inside temperatures are not being maintained. They should be warm but not hot. This usually indicates a problem in the internal temperatures. Check the back wall of the freezer section for frost buildup. Your defrost system may not be working and it had not gotten to the point of complete failure as far as you noticing the temperature differences yet.
