All you need to do is plug in the Flash drive on to the computer, it will detect the flash drive and create a drive sysmbol under MY Computer or Computer", select the document that you wish to copy, right click on the document and then click "Copy", Go to "My Computer or Computer", double click on the Flash Drive icon, it will open a new window, right click there and click "Paste", that's it

Thanks and regards,

How do I get my document back from Lexar 8GB JumpDrive TwistTurn - USB Flash Drive

Hi Sarah... We will need to know a few more specifics before any information can be given to you. What program where you in, and what type of document were you trying to save. If you were in Microsoft Word, you can go up to the "file" menu, and look for "recent items". At that point, you would be able to open the document that you were working on, and then save it to your location of choice. What you might find simpler in the future, is to simply save documents to your desktop, and then drag them to the flash drive directly from there. At that point, you will have the document both on your desktop and the flash drive, and you can then take the documents it is still on your desktop, and move it into your documents folder...

I'm a tech IDIOT - I bought an 8GB flash drive to back up ''my documents'', but don't know how to DO it. I've put the flash drive into an available USB port...

Please follow the simple steps to copy the data from your computer.

1. Plug in the flash drive to the USB port available.
2. Wait for a while til the system detects the drive and it will show the detection details on the extreme right side of the task bar.
3. Once the computer has detected the USB/Flash drive you can do a double click on the MY COMPUTER icon on the desktop where it will show you th external drive as a Removable drive. Once confirmed you can close the page.
4. Then you need to go inside My documents by doing a double click on it.
5. Select all the documents by either doing a CTRL+ A or you can select the documents one by one by pressing CTRL and with the mouse just single click on a document.
6. Then after you have higlighted the articles to be moved please do a right click with the help of mouse cursor, where it will give you a option SEND TO and then you will have the option of Removable drive over there.
7. Just select the removable drive and all the data will be copied with in the next few mins.

Your system will tell you the time it wil take in order to send the complete data.

How to use a flash drive

It doesn't matter to which USB port you connect the flash stick.
It should appear as an additional disk in My Computer, with a total capacity close to the rated one. To identify which drive letter is it, observe the open My Computer window and plug (or unplug) the stick - it will be the drive that appears (or disappears respectively) from the screen.

How to use it? I prefer not to use any special backup software, which I find not very intuitive. I just make folders that make sense for me, and copy the files (that I want to back up or transfer to some other location) to these folders.

Stopped working COMPLETELY!!!!

Had same problem.

I wiggled back and forth the part that goes into the USB port and the drive was recognized and I could copy my files onto my hard drive.

I had this problem with a different make USB flash drive and used the same procedure to get the files back.

I think that some connection inside the flash drive works loose after a while.

I am not going to trust these drives for files storage, but only to transfer files.
