SOURCE: TV & Tuner stays in Standby mode

Assuming you have tried changing batteries in your remote and any front panel power switch your set has, the main power supply is probably at fault and without some technical background and a couple of test instruments, you will not be able to do the repair yourself.  What you can do though is; unplug the set, let it stand overnight or at least several hours, remove the back panel and look for a separate board with mostly larger components on it; it will have a ferrite core transformer on it and several larger capacitors which are cylindrical and mounted vertically to the board.

Before touching anything inside, especially on that board, allow several hours to be safe since the larger capacitors can hold a painful voltage charge for some hours.

If you see signs of overheating such as discoloration of the board material, it may not be repairable but if you can find a part number on the board, you might be able to buy the power supply and install it yourself.
If there are no signs of heat damage to the board, there may be companies offering to repair it as a subassembly instead of repairing the whole set which could be much more expensive.
If you choose to replace or have it done, the power supply still may not be at fault since most are capable of switching on and off if a downstream problem is causing an overload.

SOURCE: tuner for my acoustic guitar no longer works

Change the battery again and make sure you get a fresh name brand battery.

SOME batteries that are off brand or old or just plain defective will cause your symptoms.

ALSO check that it is securely contacting the battery contacts.

Things thaat come on for a second MAY just be residual charge on the filter capacitors that a breif contact was made to the battery.

SOURCE: Need Korg GT-2 chromatic tuner help

well i hope you've figured it out by now, it's a really cool looking tuner and i love it. but if you are still having problems...
the switch on the left side: OFF, ON, LMP (ON with a little light so you can see in the dark)
The number and letters you see across the top of the interface indicate which string it is tuning to. 6E is the low E string (the thickest one) and 1E is the high E string (the thin one on the bottom of the guitar), i've seen many people get confused when they've tuned those two.
You can leave the tuner in auto and it will pick up what string you are trying to tune. but if you are having problems getting the correct string or whatever the case is, you can switch to manual mode. click the only button on the tuner and the specific string will light up on the interface.
If you press and hold the button, the tuner will go into flat mode, tuning all the strings flat.
once you have the right string and you're tuning it in, you want the needle to be centered.
that's pretty much it. enjoy!

SOURCE: tuner

In the navigator display in the upper right corner of the face, after holding the tap switch or the tap footswitch for over two seconds the display will indicate your tuning. Strike an open string and the left end of the display will show you the note. Then there will be left and right arrows on the screen until you adjust your tuning for that note. When in tune for that note, two asterisks will be displayed in the center of that display.

Read your manual on the page with the "Smart FX" at the start.

The tuner on this is weird. It requires three presses of the tune button. Read your manual... One press turns on tuner and passes audio till it times out. A second turns on tuner and kills audio... the third press restores audio... Others have had the same problem understanding this three mode thing and the timeout in the first two modes is confusing when sound disappears.

I have no instructions. how do i use it? i want a detailed answer please.

Clamp it to the headstock of your guitar just like in the picture. Press the power button. Pluck one string on your guitar, the screen will light up with the corresponding note (standard tuning from largest string to smallest string is E A D G B E). The arrows will indicate whether the string is sharp or flat (too high or too low). More left arrows indicate that the string is too low, too many arrows on the left indicate that it is too high. Turn the tuning peg, slowly, on the corresponding string until you've got 6 solid arrows.

My tuner reads D when it should be on E. It is set for 440. Please help. Thx

Test on another guitar first... If it only happens on yours, then you guitar MAY have a resonance in the neck or bridge that cross couples to your D string that MAY be the strongest vibration which the tuner is looking for. Try damping your D string while tuning the E strings by placing a finger on the D string to quiet the D..

Have no idea how to use it

I can't find info other than the tuner has three lights for flat on, and sharp.

given that you would plug it in and do a close tune of the guitar by ear.

Then you would strum one string at a time and tweek the peg tighter if it shows flat, looser if it shows sharp, until it shows the light right on.

I would recommend you get a book on guitars to learn how to tune and also check the setup of the guitar.

Also I would recommend you get a Korg tuner... they are about $20 from online sources and they are much easier to use.

Dont know how to tune for the life of me

After plugging it into the tuner ... Play one string and watch the arrow ... If its not centre then gently turn the tuning key for that string on the guitar until it says its in tune ... do this for each string.

When your holding the guitar looking down at the strings ... the biggest one is E ... then from there its A,D,G,B,E.
