anyone with a solution to whats wrong?
Hi,
it appears that your bios settings are not configured correctly.
If your external keyboard works, press F1 at bootup, and enter the bios setup. if you have put the external keyboard onto the laptop, it may be configured to look for that at bootup.
when you get into the computer, go to control panel/ device manager. and look to see if theres any yellow boxes or exclamation marks by the keyboard or mouse. you,ll have to restore the drivers, if thats the case.
failing this, you may have a faulty keyboard.
there might be a problem with the keyboard and mouse, onboard, so you might have to ge that checked out or replaced bacuse when u use the mouse and keyboard ,external, it routes the acess away from the onboard keyboard and mouse therefore alowing you to acess the notebook.
Did you say that you CAN plug in a mouse or keyboard and the machine boots fine, or are you asking if you can do this? If you computer is freezing up at the BIOS screen then most likely you have a failing memory stick.
If you are familiar and comfortable doing so, try removing both sticks (if you have two) of ram. Make sure you have the battery removed and the power cord unplugged. Then try to boot up the machine without the RAM and with only the power cord plugged in. See if you get any type of message or response. Then, hold down the power button to turn the machine off again, remove the power cord, and try booting with just one stick of RAM at a time.

I have a toshiba satellite a350 laptop which connects to our wireless router but since a few days ago it stopped connecting.. I believe there is a problem with the network adapter.. I've resetted it already a few times and does not work.. I know it's not the router because other laptops work fine off it.. Please help asap as I'd like to avoid taking it to a tech to repair or replace it.. Thanks in advance..
