Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook

S-L-O-W My computer has really slowed down in performing operations. Yesterday it took 40 minutes to load up powerpoint presentation. I used a new program to clean up the computer, that worked, but now it's slowed down again. Is it the RAM? If it is what do I do to get it fixed? What size RAM would be best?

Face it most likely you have vista as an os ??????? Get away! vistas evil and it has been full of problems since day one. For one it is a resource hog it will consume most of your ram just to feed its selfish needs upgrade all you want but the fact remains you need a downgrade back to xp i could tell you how to free your computer up but you'll get rid of all your things just so that you can free vista up.

Computer help forum: How can I un-corrupt my Powerpoint 2007 file???

Hi,
Generally, once a file is corrupt, it's gone. So what I'd do, is just recreate the changes using one of your slightly older versions of the file. This time taking care to make sure you know exactly which one you're editing. Maybe saving a copy to a USB flash drive in addition to uploading a copy somewhere.
Use PowerPoint Repair Toolbox. The PowerPoint repair tool reads and analyzes the damaged files and exports data the restored data to Microsoft PowerPoint. For more:

How to make powerpoint?

How you present the material in a speech can say as much to your audience about your expertise on a subject as the actual content of the speech itself. Microsoft PowerPoint is a powerful multimedia presentation tool capable of producing captivating and informative slideshow presentations. Microsoft PowerPoint is a program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite and has been emulated in open-source programs such as OpenOffice.

Open Microsoft PowerPoint. In Windows computers, PowerPoint can be accessed by clicking "Start," then "All Programs," then the "Microsoft Office" folder. Mac computers will install a link to PowerPoint on the taskbar. Click "Design" and choose one of the templates that open in the design tab. Additional designs can be downloaded from Microsoft.com. Click the area of the slide that says "Click to add title" and type your desired title. This slide is referred to as the title slide. Create a new slide by right-clicking on the title slide and choose the "New Slide" option. Windows users can use the keyboard shortcut by holding "Ctrl+M" with PowerPoint opened. Click the area of the slide that says "Click to Add Title" to add a title or "Click to Add Text" to add text to the slide. Type the information that you would like to display on your presentation in the text box. The text box gives you the option to add text, pictures and tables and even create graphs by clicking on one of the respective icons at the center of the text box. Click on a slide that you would like to add a special transition to and click the "Transitions" tab. Select a transition by clicking on it. Click on a text box that you would like to animate and click the "Animations" tab. Select an animation by clicking on it. Click "File" and "Save" to save the PowerPoint presentation. Open the saved presentation, pressing the "F5" button to open the presentation in full-screen mode.

My computer is running too slow.

The best way to speed up a slow running computer is to clean it for viruses. Also optimize your system, browser and registry using some reliable cleaner such as Reginout Cleaner.

> Turn on Windows Updates.

> Keep your device drivers updates.

How can i convert my powerpoint slides from windows 7 to windows xp and vice versa without disturbing my presentation font, animations, colors, backgrounds, etc...? Thank you!

Open your powerpoint file, click "File" then "save as" and click the drop down box for "Save as type". Change this to "PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation" and give your converted file a name and save it.

This should make it readable by all versions of PowerPoint currently in use.

I need to save 40 open powerpoint presentation at once

Hi,

You cannot save all the 40 slides at the same time. None of the computer application has this option to do at one.

However you can save all 40 one by one without opening. When you give command to shut down the PC, all those slides which are opened, need to be saved and the PC will prompt you if you wanna save them before closing. Click Save or Yes to save for every save prompt window screen.

Running but much slower than normal

If you are printing Office products (Powerpoint, Excell, etc.) and using a PostScript driver, the routing first converts the document to a .pdf file before printing; this slows operations down. Try a PCL5 driver. I don't really care for the PCL 6 myself.

Microsoft powerpoint

Hi there,

Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation program developed by Microsoft. It is part of the Microsoft Office system, and runs on Microsoft Windows and the Mac OS computer operating systems. The Windows version can run on the Linux operating system, under the Wine compatibility layer.

PowerPoint is widely used by business people, educators, students, and trainers and is among the most prevalent forms of persuasive technology. Beginning with Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft revised the branding to emphasize PowerPoint's place within the office suite, calling it Microsoft Office PowerPoint instead of just Microsoft PowerPoint. The current versions are Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 for Windows and 2008 for Mac.
