you might have to uninstall the mouse then restart your computer then reinstall the mouse and its drivers
make sure the battery is good (has full charge)also you might test the usb device for the mouse is inserted correctly into the usb port (if applicable)
click start control panel mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons, pointers, pointer options and hardware under hardware you can troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have options to update driver, rollback driver or uninstall and under hardware you can troubleshoot
in xp
hope this helps

Windows Vista starts up but then after I type in my password the screen goes blank

Although the sounds of this problem is more of a software issue than hardware, one of several things could be the cause ... faulty RAM (freezing issues), battery or mobo (power supply issues), corrupted Vista update installs (no surprise there), faulty startup programs, infections in the system ... I suggest trying these options: 1) run a detailed hardware scan to find any faulty hardware. 2) turn off laptop, take battery and AC adapter out, hold the power button for 10-30 sec then plug everything back in. 3) run a "chkdsk /r c:" on the command prompt using any Vista disc repair mode to find and fix possible corrupted O/S files then go to restore mode and load a time and date before the incident happened. 4) see if you can get into safe mode without the blank screen issue, go to run and type "msconfig", go to "startup" tab and turn off any programs that looks out of place, then go to "services", click on "hide all ms services" and disable services that looks out of place. 5) scan for infections. If you have Norton or McAfee, remove it ... and if you remove it ... be sure to use their removal tools located on there respective website. They usually leave residual files behind after removal using conventional means (ie Add/Remove programs) If none of these help ... backup your stuff and do a recovery!

I have a lenovo n200 and upgraded my os to vista ultimate but when i upgraded the lan driver were not installed for some reason i have no idea can u please tell me where i can find the lan drivers for this...

Hi freind!
Actually when you upgrade your OS from the origional one that you get on ur machine and the CD along with it, the drivers for your hardware have to be re-installed.
However,in the driver cd that you got along with your Laptop will not have it!! So you'll have to download the respective drivers for ur hardware from .then transfer it to your machine with the help of a USB srive or some other thing. Then you can install it!! Be sure to download the Drivers for your HARDWARE only!!
I had the same problem but overcame it by doing the  same as told above!!
Hoping this helped.Any help regarding the above steps , feel free to ask them.
See ya.

This Will Completely Solve your Prob; if there is no any internal Hardware Problems with Quick Lunch Buttons

(I feel there is no any coz u mention about Ding Sound. That mean your system is recognizing your key input & all you need is Just program those keys – above setup will do that)

** If you didn’t solve your prob; my advice is take your lap to a good technician with component level Repair skills.

Thank you & Best Regards

Toshiba L40-A510

There are a lot of things that do not work on Vista that do work on XP. For that reason some of my client's have asked me to re-install XP so they would not have to upgrade their hardware and software programs. You could have the same problem.

Need XP drivers

From what I can gather your problem is not that you are looking for the XP operating System but instead you are looking for the drivers for your hardware that are compatible with you XP operating system. well most times the driver disk that comes with your laptop will have drivers for both XP and Vista but if it does not then you will have to download the appropriate drivers from the manufactures website. If its acer then the site will be acer.com.
