Question about Sony KP-51HW40 51" Rear Projection Television
Is it worth fixing. It seems by the answers to the same problem, it's not worth buying all three CRT tubes and having a tech throw them in. Sounds like a over $800 job.
I had the same prob almost a year after i purchased mine. i called and there was a recall on the color guns. they replaced and adjusted them at no cost. you might want to try this.

It might be time to look for an upgrade. While you may have to pay a little bit more then 800 to get a comparable size, you receive more features including digital tuners, HDTV compatibility, different room configurations (think flat panel).
And with the digital conversion just around the corner it may be the perfect time to invest in newer technologies.
Hope this helps.
