Unusable Signal for PS2

I have a RCA Stereo Monitor Colortrak Plus with the red yellow white inputs in the back. I tried hooking my PS2 in and since there is no TV/Video button I checked all the basic channels like 2,3,4,5--didnt work, then I bought a universal remote and hit the TV/Video button but all that popped up was a black screen saying "unusable signal". What's the problem and what to do???

If you want to use a PS2 with an RCA stereo monitor Colortrak plus television, folllow these steps:
1.Buy a universal remote compatible with RCA televisions if you don't have the original.
2.If your remote needs programming, program it with the manual provided.
3.Goto Menu
4.Goto Alarm
5.Goto Alarm Channel
6.Set Alarm Channel to 00
7.Exit Menu
8.Goto channel 00 on the television by using the remote.
9.You should be in AV mode, and able to play your PS2.
P.S. I don't know if you need to set Alarm Channel to 00, but that's how i did it.

I have an rca f36648 entertainment series tube tv. it has right white and yellow video input on the back that i attempted to plug my playstation 3 into however when i set it to the video input channel it...

It is compatible. The yellow cable is the video portion of the input and the white is the audio portion of the input. When you do this and switch the video mode or change the channel to number 3, it should work

Have an RCA F27636BC TV. Can u hook a DVD player

How to hookup TV

If you have a TV with only a single coax input and you want to hook up components like DVD players and VCRs, here's how to do it.

What you need to connect your DVD player or game players to a TV that only has a VHF/UHF 75-ohm F-connector ("coax antenna input").

1.) RF Modulator with Stereo Audio Inputs.

2.) 6 foot long coaxial cable with male "F" connectors. This cable goes from the modulator to the TV. The modulator also has a coaxial input to plug in your antenna or your VCR.

3.) 6 foot long Video and Audio Cables with "RCA" plugs. The cables connect the yellow, red and white outputs from your DVD or game player to the yellow, red and white inputs of the modulator.

Works with X-Box, PlayStation, Nintendo or other devices that output audio/video via the RCA plugs and you want to connect them to your coaxial only TV.

Can i hook up PS2 using only the white and yellow jacks?

i download and read your owner manual .

http://www.funai-corp.com/6pdf/om/DWT1304.pdf

i do see you only have a video and a mono sound input jack , so , your ps2 as in all RCA style jack inputs , yellow is video , red and white is audio , i will assume you have yellow plug in video and red or white in audio , and on your TV remote you hit the GAME button , i'm suprised they don't use the term VIDEO , but , anyway , are these the steps you have taken ?

31GT720 GE Stereo Monitor

I have the same TV. Make sure you have hooked up the red, white, yellow leads from the "out" jacks on the DVD to the same colored "in" jacks on the back of the TV. You also have to make sure your TV is set to Video Mode. I do this with the GE remote that came with the TV. There is a WHO-INPUT button on the left side of the remote, 3rd from the bottom. Toggling this button should switch you between TV and Video mode. Hope this works for you.

TV does not recognize PS2 input

On the TV you should have a video, input or mode button. If you press that button while the PS2 is on it should pickup the signal. You need to be in video mode instead of cable mode since you are using the red, yellow, white cables. Many TVs have a few video modes so press it wait a few seconds and try again if it does not work. Hope this helps:)
