Question about Printers & Copiers

Canon PIXMA iP4500 Printer. Sometimes when wanting to print a document or web page, the computer announces there is a serious error on a blue screen and promptly shuts down. The printer is connected by USB 2, and the computer is an Acer Laptop running Windows XP Pro. I have reinstalled the printer software and downloaded the latest printer driver from the Canon website, but the problem still continues. Any ideas please?

    I'm afraid, that timeouts in the Canon Pixma iP3500 driver lead to bluescreens! I connected the printer by USB to PC A and shared it with the samba server of PC A for use with PC B. Then I printed from PC B over WLAN to PC A. I started as many print jobs of 160 MB each at PC B until it severely swapped, while I did not feed the printer with paper. PC B remained stable! But PC A reproduced consecutive bluescreens before the reboots of PC A were completed.

First of all check for Virus with a latest anti-virus. Also try to plug in the printer USB cable in another port... Try changing USB cable to.. Fully remove printer driver and software and then re-install... Hope for the best...

My canon pixma ip4500 has started to print off centre to the right of the page.


Need to do some maintenance. Just go to your printers&devices, choose the printer and click printer preference. DO some cleaning and re-alignment. this will fix ur prob.

look for a small sensor on you right hand side. it tell the m/c if it is open or close. it migit be stuck.

I need to download canon pima ip4500 printer driver for my new macbook air


I have provided a link below for you to go to at the Canon support page for your model printer,

Please selct the MAC operating system you have on your computer before downloading the driver.
Follow the prompts and install as instructed by the site and you should be good to print.

It would be advisable to add the Canon support page to your "Favorites" in the event you need to return to the page for addtional information or other software.

Alarm / Power light flashes orange 5 times consecutively (Print Head / Cartridge Error) What can I do?

Five flashes: Print Head is not installed./ Print Head is defective

please check correct placement with your cartridge, maybe it's not installed properly

INK ABSORBER FULL Printer model - pixma ip4500 Please solve my problem


This is from the Canon web site.
Before the ink absorber becomes completely full, contact a Canon Service representative. (You will need to replace a particular part of the printer.)

Canon recommends that you call for service as soon as this error occurs. Once the ink absorber becomes completely full, printing cannot be performed until the ink absorber is replaced.

There are some links on how to clean it yourself or to bypass the alarms on this site. Just do a search for ink absorber and you should find them. I wouldn't try this unless you are mechanically inclined.

Printing blank..


Try running at least three print head cleanings then a nozzle check, if this still comes out blank then keep running cleanings in sets of three the print head is a seperate unit inside your printer and this can dry up. Or if the pages are shooting out at a really fast speed, then this is a overload error try turning off the printer / unplugging it and clearing your print cue (click on the printer on the start up bar, if there isn't a printer then it should be clear). hope this helps

Printing only upper part of page - big graphic PDF


1: check in the printer properties( page setup ) is it latter then make it A4
2: clean the roller
3: also when u printting check with uper try not from try 2
if its printing proper then try is touching roller
