You are basically screwed. Mine went out and Jennair said touch panel was no longer available. Imagine that, just past warranty and can't even purchase the part. I found a new one on ebay and had it replace about 6 months ago. Tonight the stupid think went out again!! Hope you have better luck than we did.

Fault Codes for Admiral Range/Stove/Oven

There are many fault codes for different ranges, ovens and stoves. These also are different for each manufacturer or brand. To see what the fault codes are and what they mean for the Admiral brand you can check this chart. It also will give you a short explanation and repair for each code.

Some of the repairs are simple and some of them are much more difficult.

Most parts are easily bought online. Check the link below to another tip I wrote about how to buy parts online.

Fault code What is wrong What to check or repair
F1 Defective touch pad or Replace touch pad or clock assembly
Membrane this also can be called the ERC

F1 Watchdog on board Replace the touch pad or ERC

F2 Oven too hot Replace the relay board or oven temp

F3 or 4 Open or shorted oven Replace oven temperature sensor

After cooking my whirlpool Electric Range started to beep and shows EO F2. The range top is working ( and range top controls ) but the oven won't shut off and the controls are not working for the oven.

Here is what my online service manual for the F2-EO error code says

F2 - E0 Shorted keypad (also called touch pad) 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock)

I hope this helps

You have a bad membrane touch control. Check your owners manual for warranty on the electronic control. If it is out of warranty you need to call an authorized LG service dealer for a quality repair.

I need a replacement key for my Lexus. It is very expensive thru the dealer. Is there any other site that could make them cheaper. Thanks

Your key has a programable security micro chip inside it. It is either and embedded chip or a transferable one in a **** shell type key.
Some dealers may have generic blanks and cut them to code with a laser cutter. If it is a **** shell type key with touch pad buttons, they simply reinstall the touch pad when equipped. If not the new key must be programmed to the cars security system
There are online sites on ebay, including one in Florida who gaurantees his work and genuine parts, but I would strongly recommend against a generic key online.

I am receiving the same error message on the display window

Defective touch pad or clock (ERC) Replace touch pad or clock (ERC). Touch pad is a more common problem. Refer to F1 test at the top of this page for more information.

Function key shorted or stuck :
Replace touch pad or if touch pad is part of the clock, replace the clock (ERC).

F1 touch pad / ERC test This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.
