What is fault E3?

E3 means that the heating element is operating when it should not be doing so. It may be caused by an older, weaker element that is taking too long to heat the water or the thermostat may be giving incorrect readings. Ensure you are using hot water to fill the machine (if tied to your faucet water supply, run the water until it is hot before starting the dishwasher). Information from the Belling manual:

If the heating element is still heating after the allowed time, then the control board will advance the programme to next step and at the end of the washing cycle the alarm buzzer will sound for 30 sec and the display will show E3.

When the control board detects that the heating element is operating during a non heating step or during the internal test the heating circuit is found to be open circuit then the alarm buzzer will sound for 30 sec and the control board will cease all functions except for the drain cycle which will run for 90 seconds and then E3 will be displayed on the control panel.

What does e3 code ?

The machine can't drain the water away Should the error code E3 appears it is warning that the machine is not draining. You can easily fix this problem by removing any blockages from the drain pump situated at the front of the machine for easy access.

My sharp washing machine (es-q75ew-g) can not fill & wash its just draining?

the drain line is to low if the water is emotying as it is filling, raise the drain hose above the washer to 48 inches and I bet it will stop draining and start operating.

My Sharp Washing Machine ES-6515TS still drains even if the drain control is already closed and sometimes water goes out to the spinners tub.

PROBABLY THERE ARE THINGS THAT BLOCKING THE DRAIN, IT MIGHT BE COINS, PARTS OF CLOTHES, PANTY OR HANKY. SIMPLY OPEN THE BACKSIDE OF YOUR WASHING MACHINE, UNSCREW THE DRAIN LINE COUNTER CLOCK WISE TO OPEN THE VALVE FOR DRAIN. YOU'LL BE AMAZED OF THINGS PRESENT INSIDE THE DRAIN VALVE. AFTER THAT IT WILL BE OK FOR YEARS. I BROKE MY SPIN DRY MOTOR AND RUBBER BELOUSE, FUSE 3X. SHARP TECHNICIAN CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM WHICH I DID AFTER 5 YEARS. I HOPE IT WILL BE HELPFUL TO YOU.---ROMMEL OF MANILA PHILIPPINES.---rtlagasac@hotmail.com

Hoover easy logic error message number 3 model is a EL 160

E3 indicates Drain pump faulty; Wiring faulty; PCB faulty.

The service information also says it should stop with the door open.

Unplug the appliance and manually remove the water via the filter or front drain point if it's fitted.

Drain it into a shallow dish, tighten the filter when you need to stop the water (or plug the hose if draining via a hose) while you empty the container.

Once empty, try the door again.

Take the filter out and clean out any debris in it.

Plug the appliance in and put the machine on a drain program.

Listen/look at the open filter to check that the drain pump is running.

Washing machine

E3: Over-Flow Error
- Display shows E3
- Over-Flow error occurs when the water level is too high. It can be cleared by turning POWER S/W OFF, turn POWER S/W ON and then run the drain cycle for 2 minutes. Water is drained prior to POWER S/W OFF and it is forced to be drained for 2 min if a frequency of more than 25.24 KHz is detected
