I know it has something to do with the coil under the bobbin case. Is there a way to tighten it so it will not get off again?

Thanx but that is not the problem. Problem is that the coil under the bobbin threadcoil doesn't seem to work well.

The upper thread does not "hook on" to that coil. I tried adjusting it but the moment i try to sew again it the thread gets stuck and it is all wrong again. (ether it is stuck, slips or it moves faster i do not know which it is.) sorry it is a bit difficullt to explain...

I thought this called timming... but looking at your answer it isn't...

    regards,

Hi. Take the current needle out of the needle clamp and see if there's a bit of thread or lint caught up in the needle clamp. Replace the needle and see if that cures the timing problem. It's really pretty rare that the timing actually needs adjustment unless you've had a fairly major accident, like driving the needle into the presser foot, etc. It's more common that the needle isn't sitting up far enough in the needle clamp.

I need the proper instructions on how to adjust the timing on my 7422 singer advance sewing machine. I used the buttonhole ...and ever since the machine is missing stiches and half of the other stiches...

You can try a whole new needle, inserted with the flat side facing away from you. Sometimes a burr or slight bend causes you to miss stitches. I would not attempt to set the timing myself as you may cause some damage. You can also call Singer customer service at 1-1800-4singer and they can advise you. Be very cautious of advice on the internet.

Bobbin won't pick up stitch(thread)

Try a new needle, confirm needle is inserted correctly, needle flat side to back of machine. If still not needs timing, take to sewing machine tech.

Bobbin tension is too loose

"Birdnesting" occurs when there is no tension on the needle thread to pull the bobbin thread. This is easily corrected by rethreading the machine, following the threading path carefully and making sure the thread is fully engaged in the tension mechanism.

Singer advance 7422

My Singer 7422 seems to be jammed. When I start to make a stitch, the thread from the needle gets caught on something on the bottom and the thread goes over the bobbin.
