Try unplugging the mains supply. Mine does this and the touchpad seems to work best when running on battery

Try re-starting the computer; if that does not work install an external moue and try navigating withthat. If that works it is that the touchpad has been damaged; or the drivers arecorrupt

    GO INTO CONTROL PANAL GO TO FOLDED PROBLEM AND REPORTING AND OPEN IT
    LOOK FOR ANY MARKING THAT SHOULDNT BE THERE, GREEN MARKINGS IS GOOD BUT ANYTHING ELSE TROUBLE AND DOUBLE CLICK ON THE CHECK MARK AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

    Cursor is frozen and can;t move on my laptop


    Plug in a USB mouse, and go to Contol Panel>system>device manager and click on the +sign next to pointing devices. Right click touchpad and uninstall the touchpad, then reboot the computer, remove the usb mouse. Windows will pick up the touchpad as new hardware and re-install the drivers for it etc..

    restart the pc and ensure up to date virus protection and spyware protection and run full scans of both. all else fails format the drive and reinstall windows
