Question about Toshiba 32C100U 32 in. TV

Open Question

I just bought a toshiba 32c100u and I have hooked up my ps3. There is, however, no sound. I am sure that it is not a wire problem as I have tried every possible connection, but the sound does not work. Moreover, the hooking up process is simple. The tv also doesn't not make noise when it is on the cable setting (there is currently no cable, but it does not make the white noise). I am wondering if the tv is just made broken, or is there something I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Aleksandar

SOURCE: closed caption problem

I had the same issue... here's what I did.  If power off your cable box, then press the menu button, there's a selection to enable or disable Closed Captioning.  This works for both HD series Motorola boxes Comcast offers, at least in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.  Hope this helps!

1. Please check your connections and make sure if you are using COMPOSITE “yellow, white, and red cables”, SVIDEO,
with “white, and red” or Color Stream COMPONENT “green, blue, red, white and red cables,” that the white
and red cables which are used for audio are plugged in securely into the same inputs as the video.
If your connections are secure, the station may have broadcast difficulties. Try a different channel.
2. If you are using the coax cable from the wall, press the “ENTER” button on the middle of the remote. If the
information provided shows that you have SAP selected we will need to change it to STEREO or MONO. To do
this, we will need to press the “MENU” button, and use the RIGHT or LEFT arrow keys to highlight the AUDIO
menu. Next we will need to use the DOWN arrow to select AUDIO SETUP press “ENTER” and then arrow down to
MTS and use the RIGHT arrow to select stereo.
3. If you have a cable box or satellite receiver, please make sure the TV’s volume, as well as the box’s, volume is
turned up sufficiently.
4. The station may have broadcast difficulties. Try another channel.
5. The sound may be muted. Press VOLUME.
6. If you still have problems after following these steps please contact Customer Solutions at 1800-631-3811 Monday
through Friday 8am to 7pm CST. The Toshiba customer service number is 1-800-631-3811. I hope this helps you with your problem.

I have a toshiba 32c100u tv i dont see exactly were to plug all white and red wires

red and white colored plugs are for audio, red it right channel and white is left. Plug your DVD player (if that's whay you have) into the red and whte on the tv, some tv's only have one audio in and its usually white, in this case plug in only the white wire from your player. the yellow plug is for video and you should plug that into the yellow jack on your tv. If you tell me exactly what you are trying to plug in I can help you better.

Looking for an instruction manual for Toshiba tv model #TV32C40

Would like to know if the Model # stated is correct as the Toshiba site does not display any model with this numbers? Anyway it appears that this model has been superseeded by another Model namely 32C100U for which you can download the manual from this link. I am confident it will carry all the details which you are looking for.

I just bought a PS3 slim and hooked it up to my 65'' Toshiba DLP TV using a HDMI cable. The problem is i have picture but no sound. I have tried the settings and all seems to be fine, also tried different...

not 100% sure but check the manual for your tv it may be that you need a faster hdmi cable, as with having a larger tv it will work at a faster rate so the basic hdmi cables wont work.
