Lens become stuck

Do you know what caused the lens to get stuck? Did someone drop it, or was the camera a long time not used?
Most of the time this is a mechanical problem. At least is you still can switch the camera on and get into the menus and when you still can view pictures taken.
In rare occasions, the blockage can be released with a little shock to the camera. Never use force on a camera, or tick something against a camera. you could slap your hand, holding the camera, but not hard. But when the blockage is caused by a broken gear, noting will help. The camera should go to a repair store.
Before you do, be sure the battery is fully charged. An old battery, could cause trouble too. More often than you can think of.

We installed a lens onto a N2020 that snapped right in and now it won't come off, any suggestions?

There is a lens release button to the right of the lens mount - make sure it is pressed fully before trying to rotate the lens to remove it. When you press the release button, there is a little pin in the lens mount that is retracted to let the lens turn. If you do that and the lens still does not rotate to be removed (and you are rotating it the opposite direction that you mounted it) then the release button assembly is probably broken and the camera will need servicing.

Rewind stuck on reverse

Hi Luce n Steve, To quote JC at Photo.Net: "sometimes the rewind function "gets stuck" if the camera thinks a previous rewind did not complete successfully. The solution is to reset it by forcing a rewind operation. Just press the two rewind buttons simultaneously: on the left side of the lens and just behind the shutter release. (They are marked and the manual explains how to force a rewind.) I did exactly this, and my next roll of film loaded without problems." Hope that help you folks.

Camera stuck with lens out & wont turn on =/

This happens with many cameras, whatever you do, do not force the lens back. You will see this as a suggestion on some blogs. Doing it might further damage the camera lens and other parts.
Here is a repair place that is very reliable: http://www.teleplancamerarepair.com/Olympus_FE_FE-370
WHen sending it in make sure you cushion it so it doesn't get worse when shipping.

It's obviously in crooked. You will probably have to force it off but there is always the chance of damage.

I have a Hasselblad 500c/m with the lens stuck on the body and I not turn the shutter knob. Help!

Get the back off the camera, make sure you can see inside the camera and locate a chrome screw in the middle below the lens.
Turn it right to align the locater slot of lens and body. Be very careful and do not use to much force. If you turn it enougn you can use the release button an unscrew the lens by turning it anti-clockwise.

Lens is stuck open

We had the same problem with a Casio Exilim. Had been stuck for months...had nearly given up until I saw another post about banging the camera pretty forcefully to get the lens unstuck. I hit it once on the bottom onto my desk(w/ paper and blotter on the desk-so soft), then twice with the back of the camera against the desk. I turned it on and the lens was unstuck!! Immediately took a couple pictures and it seems to be working fine! If the camera may be lost, you've got nothing to lose to try this out...Good luck!
