Jenn air model #jrsd226 there was ice jammed in the propeller that dispences ice throught the door. I think what has happen here is maybe a switch or motor has burned out(not sure). Anyway when you press the lever for ice there is no sound of anything turning or running everything else works fine on fridge this is a side by side door system. Is there a possible reset button somewhere

I took the arm of the ice-making machine out of the slot and put it back in, pushing it snugly inside the slot, then raised and lowered it several times. Then, with the arm in the up (stop making ice) position, I felt inside the ice-making tray, where I noted there were ice cubes as well as a sheet of ice at the base of the ice-making tray. I poured approximately 24 oz. of hot tap water into the tray to melt the sheet of ice. I turned the freezer temp control to "warmer". I think the freezer temp setting was too cold, causing the ice maker to freeze the water before it could make cubes. I have a working ice maker again!
Do you hear it trying to draw water into the ice tray? If so, there might be an internal problem you can't fix yourself. especially since the fridge is dispencing water. Is the arm inside the ice maker pushe down? This is what tells the ice maker to fill and make the ice.
I have a GE Profile PSW26P Stainless Steel Side by Side refrigerator that makes plenty of ice but will not dipense when the lever is pushed. The dispenser makes not sound when engaged. What do you think the problem is.
