Looking at some of the other responses given for this same problem, other experts (SD Tech) seem to know have a step by step plan how to reapir rather than replace the TV. Please help.

YES! 2,2 is short protection and 98% chance one of the two pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit are blown.

Model indicated uses two of the STK-392-570 convergence chips; a seller I use ON EBAY will sell them for about 15 dollars for a pair.

Good news: I have my own start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair in this set---provide a way for me to email and I will send them for free.

The instructions tell you everything you will need and exactly how to do the repair---based on my own experience doing hundreds of these sets.

Post a comment here and I will assist you further.

The blinking light signifies to a repair technician with capacitors or circuits are having an issue they can diagnose the problem via the amount of blinks in between pauses however it will require a technician and some specific tools and schematics to fix and it may be cheaper if its no longer under warranty to purchase a new one

Hope this helped

1,2 means no error found. To confirm turn set off and unplug and and turn back on, when it fails try the self check again.

Where did you buy the replacement fuses? Radio Shack?

Some of these fuses are special and the poor ones which are generic will pop for no reason sometimes; examine original fuse and holder for correct amperage and type of fuse used.

My mitsubishi television ws-55807 went out while watching it, what can i do to solve this problem?

If power light comes on and then goes off do the self check this set has:

when light goes off and front of set press and hold both the menu and Input (device) buttons in at same time for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

The set will (the power light) blink a two digit error code like, 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat the code several times.

2,2 is most common error code, let me know what error code if any you find and comment here and I will tell you what it means.

The self check is designed to narrow down where a problem is.

Attn sd tech i have a code 2 2 how do i repair?

It means one of the two pico fuses for CONVERGENCE is blown.

I will attach photo of the fuses; they and the two convergence chips this set uses are on the middle circuit board--also a photo of a typical IC.

Parts cost on EBAY will be under 20 dollars.

Instructions tell you everything you will need and exactly how to do the repair.

Give me a email and I will send them free.

MY WS-55807 TURNS ON FOR THREE SECONDS AND THEN IT TURNS OFF. I UNPLUGGED IT FOR A WHILE AND STILL THE SAME. I DID AN ERROR CODE OPERATIONAL CHECK AND I CAME UP WITH TWELVE WHICH MEANS NO ERROR IF I AM...

if you unplugged it you will only get the no error code 1,2.

Plug back and turn on, when light on power goes out try it again--if power light goes out there will be a error code.

Do the self check when power light goes off.

On front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons for 5 seconds or longer and release both buttons.

Power light will blink a error code like: 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat about 4 more times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

Please do the self check this set has:

When the power light comes on and goes out press and hold both the MENU and Input (also called Device) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

The power light will blink a two digit error code--for example--2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means and what may actually be the problem.

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD “device” and “menu” buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC’s is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

If you come up with the 2, then 2 blink code I have detailed START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS REPAIR IN THIS SET.

My tv clicks on & then clicks off. no pic

When you turn it on and the set goes off---engage the self check this model has:

On the front of the set press and hold BOTH MENU AND INPUT(or device) for at least 5 seconds and RELEASE both buttons.

The front power light should blink a two digit error code: for example------2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--this is the most common error and the most easy to repair.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.
