Question about Canon ZR900 Mini DV Camcorder

1 Answer

My camera got knocked over while filming volleyball and afterwards the screen is only in black and white (but not like the black and white filming mode (it's on a normal capture setting)) There's much more black and when pointed at a light, everything still looks mostly black with little white- any ideas on how to fix it?

This is usually caused by a defective CCD image sensor and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I’m a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I’m semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

What type of film does a n60 slr camera use

The N60 uses standard 35mm film (also known as 135). 35mm film usually comes in 12, 24, or 36 exposure rolls, any of which will work. 35mm film is available in black-and-white, color transparency (color slides), and color negative (color prints). It's also available in infrared, both color and black-and-white, but the N60 will not work with infrared film.
35mm film is available online and at any camera shop. Many department stores, drugstores, and even supermarkets also carry film, though not as wide a selection as a decent camera shop.

How can I print only black and white

If you're printing the photos yourself and it's film then you have to use black and white film, chemicals and paper. Otherwise, shoot black and white film and send it to a photo lab. If you're talking digital then you're in the wrong catagory here. This is film cameras only.

Pictures all white

i'm assumming the film was in the camera? If so the film was exposed to the air and if expired this will cause white pics.If film was in sealed package than it still is film related, you bought new batteries so again persumming film is very old.Sounds like shutters are opening if white, black photo's are shutter problems. hope i helped!

I need the size of film and what kind of film my olympus om-1 takes can you help ?

The OM-1 uses standard 35mm film. You can use black-and-white, color print, or color slide film. Color print film should be available at most drugstores. A good camera store will have all types of film.

I can't figure out what to manually set it for inside a gym to shoot volleyball game.

How far from the players will you be, do you have a tripod available, and which exact make and model of lens are you using? These factors all affect the ideal settings.

But basically you'll be looking to use the highest ISO acceptable in conjunction with the widest aperture and fastest shutter speed, and a tripod (or monopod) helps immensely in avoiding camera shake. You'll also need to ensure that the flash is not used as it's useless for what you wish to shoot and the aperture and shutter settings chosen by the camera when using flash will adversely affect the exposure. If you plan to convert the image to monochrome afterwards (black and white, always convert afterwards after shooting in colour to start with) then you can get away with far higher ISO settings as image noise in the colour channels isn't of concern to you, but it will still be advisable to choose the best white balance to match the available lighting.

If you want me to suggest specific settings then please add a comment with the answers to the above questions and I'll try to provide you with some guidelines.

I don't know how to buy film for this camera. is it just 35mm 400 film

Yes, you can get 35mm in color negative or black and white. Although the black and white film may be in 2 varieties: traditional process black and white(not all labs can process this) and C-41 process black and white (and one hour lab can process this). If you are looking for color film choose the C-41 color negative film like Kodak gold 400 or Fujicolor 400.

Maxxum camera no color

I think your camera had a microchip in it that changes modes. I could be wrong, I can't remember exactly what model it was. Take the chip out or reset it in the menu. How old is the film you are using? There is some film that is color film but a black and white emulsion. That can be developed in color processing.

What is the part number for the lcd screen on a samsung s850

If your camera costs less than $350.00, parts plus shipment will hit you over $90.00.

Oh, they come with no warranty.

Best just use the camera like a film camera. Shoot and download into computer to view or delete photos. This step is slower, but still cheaper than repairing or using film camera.
