Please shut down the printer and then unplug the printer from the power source.

Wait for 30 seconds and then plug it back again, making sure that the connection is a snug fit.

Once done, please press the power button on the printer to turn it on.

Then please proceed to print and it will work for you properly.

If this does not resolve the issue it indicates a failure in one of the power systems and I would suggest that you contact Lexmark Support for further assistance.

Disable power saving mode

Sorry, but you will NOT be able to DISABLE the power saver mode on this printer. The printer will still go into "power saver mode", but it takes longer to do so, if you set diffrent as default time delay [ Two power saver modes: (1) print to standby mode 35 Watt, user-definable 1-30 minutes, default 3 minutes ; (2) print to powersaver mode 4 Watt, user-definable 5-60 minutes, default 10 minutes ].

Why is light blinking on on-off button?

The blinking light indicates that the printer is on power saver mode. The Power Saver Mode saves energy by lowering power consumption during extended periods of inactivity. However, if you try to print from your computer when the printer is on power saver mode, the printer should automatically wake up and prints the job. You can also manually wake it up by just pressing and releasing the power button. Thanks.

How do you turn off the "power saver" so the WiFi

If you are in power saver mode, the WiFi is still available. Power saver mode is indicated by the green power light dimming and becoming bright. If there is no green power light, the printer is off and the WiFi will not work. The printer will switch to power saver mode in 10 minutes if you are in Eco-Mode. The printer use 7 watts of electrical power in ready mode and 3 watts in power saver mode.

Continuously says "entering power saver mode" i've pushed

It seems the printer is stuck on the power saver mode. Unplug the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the rectangular black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging back the power adapter in the printer? That should reset the printer. If the printer won't automatically turn on, press the power button. Hope this helps.

Entered power saver mode how do I get it out of that mode

The power saver mode is a Lexmark X5650 feature that allows you to save electricity when the printer's not being used. That can be configured in the Device Setup in Settings. Adjust it on how long you want the printer to stay on before going on power saver mode but it can't be turned off. When the printer is on power saver mode, press and release the power button to power back on. Hope this helps.

CLEANS ITSELF TOO FREQUENTLY- 2-3 TIMES EACH DAY

Try maxing out your power save timers. Here are the instructions. I suspect the machine is going into power save mode to quickly. Here is how you do that.

NOTE: To save energy, the printer enters a power saver, low-energy consumption mode after a predefined period of time since its last activity. In this mode, most printer electrical systems are shut down. When a print job is sent to the printer, the printer enters the Warm-up Mode. You can also warm up the printer by pressing the [OK] button on the Control Panel.
If the printer is going into Power Saver mode too often and you do not want to wait while the printer warms up, increase the length of time before the printer goes into the Power Saver mode.
Modify the timeout value:
  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Printer Setup] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Printer Controls], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Power Saver Timeout], and then press the [OK] button.
  4. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select the required timeout value (30 - 240 minutes), and then press the [OK] button.

NOTE: Select a larger timeout value to extend the length of time before the printer goes into the Power Saver mode.

  5. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Exit], and then press the [OK] button to return to the Main screen.

How to turn off the cleaning page feature in Xerox Phaser 8500

Actually what is happening is your machine is going into the power save mode and staying there for a long time.
What happens then is you get a full warmup. When the machine warms up, it will turn on the compressor and drain the resivour because Xerox wants a "fresh": supply of ink in the print head.
Its excruciatingly expensive and wasteful.
Here is something that can help. I am not sure you can completely disable the energy save mode. Thanks Al Gore...
