Ink cartridge are full yet the red light is still on. I've tried resetting the cartridges, unplugging the printer, unplugging the USB, restrting the computer.

Epson R 260 says that every ink cart empty-even though not. Replaced all with Epson brand carts and still refuses to recognize new full carts. Epson only say need servicing or buy a new one.

I replaced ALL of the ink cartridges... everything was great and only after 20 or 30 copies.. the red light comes on and stays on. Epson tech treated me like an idiot. Too bad because this printer was ideal for me, never any problems, never jammed up.... now it is collect dust...and laughing at me because I just spent $100 on new ink and it tells me I am out of ink. grrrrrrrr

The problem is that Epson is a rip off. They make it so you HAVE to replace carts even when they are FULL. They ****.

1. Disconnect the USB from the back of the printer.

2. Ensure you have the correct part number on the Cartridge.

3. Push the red button and make sure it indicates the Black is out (if another color is out, it won't print and even if u only ever print black the color still runs out)

4. Re-seat the cartridge

5. Try another cartridge

6. If that doesn't work, your printer needs service

My epson R260 says Service Required how can I fix this?

Many of the Epson printers ink cartridges have a sensor that allow the printer and the associated software know when to replace the printer ink cartridges (even when the cartridges have ink within them) and/or when the printer needs to be cleaned. In some cases you can bypass this message by following either of the below steps.
Use printer buttons to reset
Use the printer buttons to reset the printer by pressing and holding the "Stop", "Maintenance", and "Power" buttons all at the same time.

My red lights are both flashing and printer will not responed

Both red lights flashing? One should be for paper jam and the other for low/insufficient ink. I presume this is a deskjet/injet printer. The combination of these two lights flashing usually indicates a more serious issue rather than just low ink or paper jam. It is indicative of incompatibility of ink cartridge. After a while some cartridges just could become incompatible with the machine. All things being equal (i.e. no paper jam issue) a replacement of your ink cartridge will resolve this issue. Just get brand new ink cartridge/cartridges. It is usually ok to replace only the one that has become incompatible. But the issue is you need to troubleshoot to determine. You may not have the resources to do this, so better to replace both or replace one-by-one.

Epson 830u Printer Red light stays on even with new ink

I realised that I had to replace both the ink cartridges even though I only wanted to replace the black for it to work. Once I replaced both the black and colour cartridge the red light went off. Thanks

Firstky u need to make sure that the printer drivers are nt corrupted, i wuld suggest u reinstall them, make sure u do nt have any paper jam, check 4 small paper pieces inside, listen if the printer tries to pull the paper in.
