Question about DeLonghi Pinguino PAC-02 Air Conditioner

Open Question

Won't cool Greetings. I've had this Pinguino protable air conditioner PAC-02 for well over 5 years.....and it has been fantastic!!! All other minor problems it has had in the past, I have been able to figure out. THis time....the unit has stopped colling....and no "!" light has come on. I'm thinking it has run out of refrigerant. It would be awesome if I could fix this myself...rather than having to buy a new unit or pay to have it serviced. If anyone could help....it would be such a blessing! THanks so much!! Matt <><

SOURCE: Empty wateron DeLonghi Pinguino Pac L 90

That probably is Ft, meaning full tank. Look on the bottom of the back side, and there should be a small "hatch" that will open. The two small hoses in there are drain hoses that can be unplugged to drain the tank. They're right at the bottom, so if you have a way to raise the unit up a little that would let you drain the water into a container. Might be a good time to clean the filter too.

SOURCE: DeLonghi Pinguino PAC CT90 It is less than a year has quit coolin

Read instructions and see if it says anything about cleaning or filters. A.C units **** air in and there is a filter that probably needs cleaned. Also, while cooling, the vent to the outside should put out warm air. Also, if it is less than a year old, contact the manufacturer and they should help you out. Good luck.

I just bought a used DeLonghi Pinguino PAC 02. It seems to cool ok but the exhaust hose gets very warm. Is that normal?

Yes, that is normal. It's exhausting the heat from the compressor out the window.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Delonghi pac-02 a/c

I had similar problem .... on very humid days unit leaks ..... temp solution for me was to drain the unit .... inserted wire coat hanger into tube .... lots of watery gook came out.. - even tilted/tipped the unit inorder to get as much water out of it.......afterwards unit worked fine.

We are VERY SASTIFIED with the Delonghi Pinguino - bought it years ago when it first came out and it has provided years of troublefree service .... the water build up / leaking was only recently - in fact we never drained the thing until this year.
