At the outset it appears to be the problem of either the paper roller or the kind of paper being used.
So, to begin with, open the rear access door of the printer, after you unplug the power from the back of the printer.
Now, clean the paper roller with damp lint free cloth and after about 10 -20 seconds, close the rear access door .. and replug the printer.. you can then reinsert the ink cartridge as well ..
this should resolve the issue.
