How do i download music to my mp3 player?

Downloading Music to MP3 Player
Hi london 42
1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you then you will have to unistall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Windows Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your data cord.
6...Media Player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is synced with the computer, you can add the music you have installed in Media Player to your MP3 Player.

Reading Data CD's

Hmmm... were the cd's originally burned using that laptop? Or were they burned on a different pc?

It could be as simple as your cdrom doesnt like something about those cd's. Or it could be a flakey cdrom.

My suggestion, try reburning them to a different brand of disk using a different pc. Then see if your laptop will read them. If not, may need to replace the cdrom. Though it reads commercially manufactured cd's, if its flakey, it will have problems reading custom made cd's.

Other option, get a usb flash drive and copy those files from that cd, in a different pc, to the flash drive.

You don't need any special drivers or programs in order to copy mp3 files from a cd to your hard drive. Yet, you would need something in order to play them. Which media player does just fine.

Flakey cdrom or flakey cd's... hope this helps.

Need to know how to

There is normally only older operating system drivers and updaters on the cdrom you get with it, you should just plug into a usb port and it will show as another drive in 'My computer'. Download songs from internet or mp3 already on your pc and simply right click on the mp3 file and go down to 'Send to' and your drive (your mp3 player) will show up, then click on it to transfer the file.

Hey, I have the same problem. I can even play from the device to the computer, but it won't play or even show any music on the device alone.
