hi chances are there are cables that are pinched or loose inside the television itself, if you want you can take the risk of opening it and check the cables and wires. make sure you turn it off and unplug it from power supply first.

The tv remote that came with the tv unit.The tv remote might have channels buttons up/down buttons functions and numbers pads might be shorted and dead and no longer functions anymore.U have a Digital Camera turn it on take the tv rmote put in the front of the Digital Camera pushes each buttons one by one all the buttons that work u will able to see a flashing white light on the camera vewing screen,because the Digital Camera can read INFERED input signal to see a output u see on the the camera viewing screen.After u test it on the front of a Digital Camera any buttons don't have a white light flashes INFERED read out than those buttons functions are shorted and dead.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote to replace and used.

There are 7 buttons with its front panel including power ON/OFF switch button.They are; From left to right:- Video, Menu, Volume(-ve), Volume(+ve), Channel(-ve) and Channel(+ve). If these buttons are not there, it will be difficult to operate this set without a remote control. If you haven't the remote contro with you now, buy one universal remote control. The universal remote control suited for this set is COMCAST ON DEMAND CUSTOM-3 UNIVERSAL REMOTE control. The setup codes are:-
0748, 0765, 0767

try leaving the set unplugged for several hours, this will reset it to factory settings. If this does not work you need service.

the way i program a remote is hold the tv botton on top for five sec. till all lite up on top, then press tv power botton (little red)then slowly channel up till tv turns off, then press pound to set. some combo tvs wont take
