Hi,

No schematic needed, The centre row of elements (one element actually wound around a flat plate) needs to be replaced.

Not a difficult task if you can find replacements, and can get the case open.

If there is still a problem after this, please contact again, or rate so that other may follow the advice given. Thank you.

My 4 slice duo lit toaster "toasts" the upper half of my toast more than the bottom half. Center elements glow red after about a minute while the end elements take about two minutes to glow. Thoughts?

It should not work that way take it back and get a new unit. I am assuming it is operating on the correct voltage. If it is a 220V unit on 120V it would work that way.

Why won't my calphalon toaster oven toast top of bread? Why?

If both the top and bottom elements are working then you may need to re-position the rack closer to the top element for even toasting. If there is only one rack position available then you may need to flip the bread and toast it twice.

Black & Decker Toaster Oven - elements cycle on and off, which makes for a SLOW cook.

Oven has three modes: 1) oven mode cycles elements on and off to maintain a specific temp setting for up to 60 min. 2) toast should keep all elements on for a few min. 3) broil mode top elements only always on, up to 60 min. Make sure you have dials in correct position and use the toast timer.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Q1031 swiching signal not available"

But I did find an in-depth schematic and repair manual on the official HP website.

Here's the link:

Looking for new pickups but I don't understand the wiring schematics on the BC Rich site.. I bought my B.C Rich Mockingbird ST on the internet.. without schem. I just can't find the right one.....

I'm not sure if you have access to a local Guitar Center, but their guys can walk you through the schematic pretty easily. You'll probably have to go to one of their locations and take to guitar dept/

Toaster does not work!!!

I investigated further (took it apart again to satisfy my curiosity) and it appears that one of the top heating elements (the front one) is open (burnt out). I cannot see an easy way to replace it (contacts are spot welded) and I can't find a place to buy the element. If I could it probably won't be worth it since a new oven costs $25 at Target (B&D TR0490W). Too bad since the oven looks like new. I assume the upper elements burn out more frequently because heat rises from the lower elements and adds extra heat at the top.

if you mean the toast itself doesn't toast on one side, check that both heating elements have about the same resistance value. One could be twice as conductive as the other and not heat as much as the other side.
If you mean the other two slots don't toast, the problem could be in the switch or in the elements themselves. check carefully the continuity of the toaster across the (unplugged) ac power connector while you push the toaster load handle down on each side. If the resistance is significantly larger on the problem side, the problem is either the switch or the elements. The problem is usually with the switch becoming corroded or oxidized. The switch is supposed to be self-cleaning, that is, it wipes itself as contact is made to help remove buildup. Sandpaper both contacts until they shine copper colored. Otherwise look at the elements while toasting. dark areas mean lower wattage is being dissipated and the element may be bad near a dark spot.

measure and record the resistance of the elements. attach an ohmmeter to the (unplugged) power cord and push down the toast loading mechanism. wire the elements up until you get the same reading on the ohmmeter you got when ohming the elements out individually. Then make sure the ohmmeter reads open when the toast loader mechanism is deactivated. Then make real sure that the hot side of the ac power plug (the smaller plug) is not electrically connected to the case of the unit. Take the unit outside on a fireproof base and run an extension cord to it but leave it unplugged. Better yet use a switching power socket if you have one. Load it with toast and actuate the toast loading mechanism. Stand away from the unit and power it up. You may want to run it several times to eliminate any smoke from it due to contamination. Be aware that any finger acids or other contaminants on the elements will shorten their lifespan so you might want to clean it and let it dry thoroughly before use.
