I want software of philips gogear 6gb mp3 player

Hello,

If your player is the HDD1620/05 6GB from the UK, next internet page is the matching support site:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=HDD1620/05&slg=en&scy=GB

When you have another player, change the box [country / language] and [Search] box in the page top.

HDD070/05 philips go gear

The flickering screen would indicate that the unit is not faulty. Nor is the battery. This happens when the battery is fully discharged. The player does not recognise that the battery is there. Philips released a firmware update to fix this.

Download the update from here:

https://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?slg=ENG&mid=Link_Software&cat=MP3_PLAYERS_CA&sct=HDD_AUDIO_JUKEBOX_SU&session=20080726040453_86.146.31.127&grp=PORTABLE_ENTERTAINMENT_GR&ctn=HDD070/05&dct=FUS&did=ENG&file=/files/h/hdd070_05/hdd070_05_fur_eng.htm

Ideally you need a spare battery so the player can be started up to update the firmware. To remove the battery, undo the screw at the top right of the player and unclick the end cap. The battery plugs into the PCB so is easy to remove.

If you don't have a battery, sometimes unplugging / plugging in the charger & battery can get the player started. Alternatively, you can obtain a battery to update the firmware from www.cheapestelectrical.co.uk

Although they are not on the website, they have a compatible battery (for an HDD1620) which can be used to power up the player to perform the update to v5.2. Then you can switch back to the original.

Go to the "about us" page and contact them directly. I know they have them in stock.

Ask for a HDD1620 battery.

I need the installation software for my refurbished phillips gogear 6g micro jukebox mp3 player

Sounds like an HDD1620 or HDD1630.

Either way, go to www.p4c.philips.com

Enter your country and language, then search for your particular model.

You can download the entire product CD from the Software & Drivers section.

If you clicked "yes" to an Update for your device, then all your songs have been wiped. Firmware Upgrades and Repairs (whether performed knowingly or unknowingly), will delete all songs from your GoGear.

Alternatively, when you have automatic synchronization set up for Windows Media Player, then re-syncing to the device when the songs don't exist on your computer will also cause the GoGear to be wiped. It's a feature of WMP that I don't like.

I can not install the philips device plug in , instalation CD is damaged

Apparently if you have windows media player upgraded to version 11, there are problems with some philips players. They suggest reverting to Windows media player 10 may solve the problem. You must be running windows xp for this player 's software to work - else win media player should do it fine. here is a link to the manual for your player; http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/h/hdd1620_05/hdd1620_05_dfu_eng.pdf and here is the link to the drivers; http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=GB&slg=ENG&mid=Link_Software&cat=MP3_PLAYERS_CA_GB_CONSUMER&sct=HDD_AUDIO_JUKEBOX_SU_GB_CONSUMER&session=20070320110713_83.37.63.15&grp=PORTABLE_ENTERTAINMENT_GR_GB_CONSUMER&ctn=HDD1620/05&dct=PAL&did=ENG&file=/files/h/hdd1620_05/hdd1620_05_dmr_eng.htm which you can download and update your pc. Hope this helps :)
