This is normal pressure! As the filter becomes more dirty you will see the pressure get higher 15/20 it's time to backwash!

under the head that you spin for yor settings is a gasket.you must take out all the bolts on the head to replace it.it is called a spider gasket.it should cost you about 8 0r 10 dollars at any pool place near you.

It sounds like it may be time to change the sand or DE media. After time the sand and or DE media tends to get packed down reducing the water flow and increasing the pressure.

The filter may be clogged. If you have a multi-port valve that you use to backwash, set it to "recirculate" and see if your suction improves. If it does then the filter needs to be cleaned out. If there is no difference the issue may be a clogged impeller or some restriction in the suction line. Has the pressure been running high?
