SOURCE: front load washer wont spin

I have a Frigidaire Affinity and the same thing happened to me. After looking on this website I found someone who told me to change the door latch assembly. I went to my local parts supplier and bought a new door latch assembly for $53. My husband replaced the door latch, and it works like new! The good news is the replacement part is better made than the original. The parts guy said he's never seen one fail a 2nd time. This is a cheap fix to a serious problem.

SOURCE: my kenmore washer will not spin model number

No that will not solve your problem. The ctrl board isn't reading movement from the motor. Replace the motor only.

My ATF6000ES Front Loading washer runs on any cycle for about 5 minutes then stops, and the display resets to the start and nothing more happens. Got an E48 code and ran "test 7" and the tub did not

Hello Nick Jensen, thanks for your post!
From what you have described your Frigidaire washer is displaying an error code of "E48" and you have changed the control board with the problem continuing to be present. An "E48" error code could be a possible problem with your door lock assembly, motor control board, or control panel. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Not spinning

Its likely you need a new motor speed control board, its the most commonly replaced board in these washers. On this model its located underneath on the right or left wall. You can't really test this but try putting the washer in to the Spin and Rinse cycle, if it doesn't spin then that is most likely your trouble.I did a quick Google search and found this page for the part:

My fridaire front load washer will not spin at high speed

HI. Your unit is equipped with a Motor Speed Control Board. This board regulates the spin speed, with the help of a tachometer, which, is located and mounted on the motor. When this Control board is experiencing issues, the spin will not preform at optimal performance. I recommend to replace this Motor Control Board asap. Once replaced, the unit will spin properly.

Is the washer worth fixing? My washer stopped

Without looking at unit would most likely be door latchlock or motor control board that is the board that is located at bottom of unit under tub/if someone told you it needed more than one board that is highly onlikely/don't think i every changed more than one board at a time. Questions

Washer wont spin

Is the lock door light on if not change the wax motor & the main control board (board is approx $169.00+).That is the problem unless the belt slipped off .Common neptune issue you have will most likely repeat itself so,you decide from there.
