Last nite our power went of momentarily and came back on. The unit was on and when the power came back on. This Theater unit would not power up. Is there a fuse inside that could had blown, or did it fry the unit??? It was on a surge protector. The TV was fine, but we can get the unit to come back on.

Let me know Sony bluray player model number to provide you helpful info to get its tray unlocked.
Model number would be written at back of unit.
Thanks.

Press and hold Volume Down and Eject buttons on unit for more than 5 seconds to open the tray, after that press and hold Power button on unit for more than 10 seconds until unit turns On again.

Let me know if that not solve the problem.
    Thanks.

My factory dvd player in my 2003 Mercury Mountaineer has a dvd stuck in it. The dvd will play, but when I hit eject the screen states the loader is blocked. Nothing is jammed or in the loading slot. ...

Unfortunately there isn't an easy fix for an issue like this other than taking it in for service. Some dvd players lock the disc onto a spindle, some use a vacuum type loading system and some use a gear type system for loading and ejecting. Regardless of which type of loading mechanism you have, the only way to fix the problem is to disassemble the dvd player and either fix or replace the bad parts. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I wish you the best with it though.

System will not eject video tape and is locked

This unit is confused. The timing may be messed up. Try unplugging the unit for 1/2 hour. This will force a system reset and make the unit go through a complete startup check/reset. This may clear it up. If not, hopefully the symptoms will change slightly. Please post the results of the "reset".

Thanks,
Dan

Eject lock

Get a paper clip and unbend it so you have a straight wire. Then look closely at the dvd tray and next to the eject button you will see a tiny hole. Push the paperclip wire into the hole and manually release the dvd tray.

I was able to fix this problem by disconnecting the Bose power cord from the back of the unit. When I reconnected it the door functioned again. Cleaning the disc helped avoid further lock ups.

Your system is in child lock mode. I had this exact problem this week. You need to put the system into standby mode and then press return, then enter then on/off and it will be unlocked.

Try unplugging the unit from power for 10 minutes then plugging back in to try to reset the system. If this does not solve it you may have a faulty ejection circuit in the unit, when the circuit is activated it locks the system.
