Green coulour?

When you first turn on the tv the screen shows up green over the picture, then if you hit the side of the tv it will goto regular picture, but then it will periodically go green agian by itself, and agian, if you hit it, it goes away. If the picture is fine and you hit it you can get it to flicker green. What is causing this and can i fix it?

GuruThis is a classic indication of poor solder connections inside the set. If you are comfortable with electronics and can solder, open up the unit and resolder any connections that appear grainy or have rings. That should resolve the problem.
