My Samsung CLP-300 printer does this same thing. Or, rather it did the same thing before it quit feeding paper all together. The paper will not feed past the first roller. It stops just at the edge of going to the next step and then the light goes red and it just sits there. I'm ready to just throw it out in the trash. It has never fed properly and I am starting to think that it is possibly a design problem with this model. What do you think?

I changed all the inks less than a month ago.  Everything was printing fine until now.  I get the green, flashing lights, then a clunk and the red light.  I have a craft fair in 4 days and I need the printer.

I had the same or similar problem - the printer would sometimes print as many as two sheets before the outcoming sheet would stick at the top output roller (just before it goes into the output tray).

I tried dumping and cleaning out the waste toner canister also. It did not completely fix the problem but it is acting much better - I can now get 8-10 sheets through before it sticks at the top output roller.

I have had this printer over a year now and seem to remember having issues before where the recommendations was to buy a new canister instead of dumping out the used toner and re-using the current canister. I think I might go that route now that I seem to have resolved weird issues twice by dumping out this canister.

Okay, my printer isn't working as well. Same red light thing...same thing with turning it on or shutting the door (it makes the noise, all the little lights light up but then red light). I thought it needed a new black cartridge since I printed alot of black print in June (which is when it stopped printing). So I finally bought a new cartridge and put it in...nothing.

I've emptied the old toner holder thing and still nothing.

I took out all cartridges and shook them (gently) and still nothing.

I took out the whole middle thing of it that holds all of the cartridges and moved it from side to side...and nothing.

So what now?

Please help!

Hey - I just had this exact problem - red light, about .5 seconds of happy, normal-start whirring after resetting, then a "chunk" sound and the red light. For the first few weeks I could get it to re-start after shaking the machine a bit, but it was getting harder and harder. Finally I looked up some trouble-shooting stuff and read about the "waste toner cartridge", which I'd never heard of before. After a few seconds of looking I found the darn thing and tapped in into the trash, and about 3 gallons of black toner dust fell out! As soon as I vaccuumed up the mess and popped the cartridge in again, the printer worked perfectly. Who knew? Seems awfully wasteful of toner to me!

Just print one and stop working monarch 9416

Isolate : disconnect from the computer, turn it off - press and hold the paper feed button while turning it on releasing only once the unit starts printing.

if it passes without error, replace the cable or try another port if it's USB.

Xerox 8500 not printing

It sounds like you need to check your addressing. Sounds to me like your IP address reset back to default.
You need to go into the network settings and check your IP address and make sure it is set to manual and not auto.
I believe your printer did a reset and your address is wrong.

Ink levels cant be seen n red light flashes n has stopped printing

Get yourself a rag and new paper ready. You need to get dirty and start cleaning the head and mechanism of the area where the ink flows. Include the pads where the ink dislodges. Remember to use a pair of plastic gloves, it will be messy but the satisfaction received after success is rewarding.
