My EeePC wont boot (by 3 users)

turn it on ; it says starting ; then Intel info in upper left ; then X in center of screen; a green bar flashes ; then back to the intel ;X ;& Green bar over and over.

same problem here, original load of linux. tried F9 and go into rescue mode, but don't know way around command prompt enough to fix.

Do you have the original Linux operating system installed or have you reformatted with your own distribution such as Windows or another Linux OS?
