2003 F-350 7.3 diesel Fx4 Automatic Transmission. After installing a quality rebuilt transmission, I went for a test drive. During the test drive, the transmission shifted smoothly through the first two...

That quality transmission may have a shorted shift solenoid or the wiring harness to the transmission is shorted or the control module is defective.I would strongly suspect the wiring is the problem, check every inch of it for damage like touching the exhaust and so on.

Have no reverse in transmission but it will go in to drive fine

No reverse is the first sign of a failed transmission. You will need to remove it and have it rebuilt or just get a remanufactured one and install that. Use quality parts, not the cheapest price one, use OEM parts and that includes a rebuilt transmission.

Can a 2000 kia sephia transmission be removed without taking the transaxles and exhaust line off?

when in doubt , thank politely and go some where else to an accredited service shop that has experience on your make of vehicle
on assembly the power train ( engine and transmission) is on a stand and the body is lowered down over it and all of the subframe bolts are screwed in
so yes it is possible to remove the power train complete but as that would be the quick way to do it
I suspect that something more sinister is afoot
did you get a detailed explanation of the transmission problem or axle problem or was it just "you need a new " comment

I have a 2000 all-wheel-drive, the rear drive shaft is broken. I can't find the manual that covers Chrysler all-wheel-drive, it looks like the ABS monitor in it, and something from the transmission...

place a jack under the transmission and raise it a bit unbolt (the transmission mount) "i think thats what u mean its all i know that above the transmission holding it in place. You'll need a rachet wrench for this and a long onbe at that,, if not you can use a piece of pipe,, you'll want the extra power.. Unbolt it and lift it off,, if its still too tight jack the transmission up a bit. That providing your refering to the transmissing mounting rubber Which is all i can think you man its the only thing above the transmission. The ABS is 2 parts ,, its a mastercylinder and a booster. Its mounted on the firewall (its the thing you pour brake fluid in.) Unjack any wire or hoses by unscrewiung them and pluging them with something.. DUCT TAAPE or rescue tape works.. Unbloth both the mastercylinder and booster from the firewall... unmounting the drive shat.. well you'll see where it bolts ,, front and back.. Thats the easir part.. you will heed o happer, pull and tug the shaft until it pops out.. Hope I was helpful.. if you need more help please feel free to ask.

Solution to 2002 Toyota Prius transmission problem

I don't know where you got the price quote, but a new one will be $3700 (Then you will need to pay an additional $350 for installation)

A rebuilt is $3300 (Not including removal and reinstallation)

A used one if you can find one will run about $1750 (then you will need to pay an additional $350 for installation)

You can check new, used and rebuilt price here
Give me you state and zip and I will find a local shop that can do it.

Please rate this a fixya

1998 dodge avenger tranmission control solenoid

Below the link for Chrysler/Dodge auto-transmission manual
http://www.scribd.com/doc/7095618/545rfe-Transmission-Manual

Solenoid mounts outside the transmission, so you do not need to remove the transmission to install. It should be located between fuse box and air filter housing on the top of transaxle case and right next to transmission controle module.
I hope his step by step procedure will work for you. It is not hard at all to replace the solenoid. There are three 10mm bolts. You will also need to remove the input speed sensor. One thing to look out for is not bending the gasket when installing the new solenoid:
  1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
  2. Remove air cleaner assembly.
  3. Remove electrical connectors for transmission control module (please refer the manual I send you and autozone.com website).
  4. Remove the Transmission Control Module
  5. Disconnect and remove the input speed sensor
  6. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines. Cap off hoses and fittings to prevent foreign matter intrusion.
  7. Disconnect the solenoid/pressure switch assembly connector.
  8. Remove the three solenoid/pressure switch assembly-to-transaxle case bolts
  9. Remove solenoid/pressure switch assembly and gasket

Keep everything clean to prevent foreign materials to go inside
  1. Install solenoid/pressure switch assembly to case using a new gasket
  2. Install bolts and torque to 13 N·m (110 in. lbs.)
  3. Install 8-way connector and torque screw to 4 N·m (35 in. lbs.)
  4. Uncap and install transmission oil cooler lines.
  5. Install input speed sensor and torque to 27 N·m (20 ft. lbs.)
  6. Install Transmission Control Module
  7. Install air cleaner assembly.
  8. Connect battery negative cable.

P.s. 1. You can fine some clips on YouTube.com at least for similar cars
2. Also at Autozone.com you can find the component location for your car and repair guide
3. Also there is a link for Mitchel1 online manual useb by US mechanic 1 week subscribtion is
