I have not used the machine for a while. When I did, a thick pasty substance emitted from the bottom steam vents onto the pas when steaming the floor. What does this mean and how do I correct?

Run a little vineagar and water solution through it. Then all you should run in the machine is distilled water so you dont get that residue and mineral build up on the heating element.

Check the entire flow path from intake to bag. You may find it is clogged.

My shark steamer is not heating or steaming

I posted this video explaining how to clean the heater core.

Tons of water on the floor might mean that an internal hose or hose clamp has failed. Once you have it apart you can assess and replace the hoses by taking the bad hose to the auto parts store and asking for an appropriate sized replacement.

Hoover f7411-900 steamvac dual v, water heating unit repair

The element is burned out or the sensor is shot. When there is no water present a sensor is supposed to turn off the heating coil. This sensor is most likley fail safe, meaning if it is broken it wont turn on the heat because it doesn't know if there is water or not. Or the coil itself is fried. Somtimes running it for too long, or on a long extension cord will cause them to fail.

Euro-pro shark s3325 will not heat up

Sounds like you got stuck with NOS item. New Old Stock. Happens a lot and if you can find that receipt be sure and try to get a refund or another one.

Many items have a date code stamped on them or a manufacturing date on the box, try to buy new or don't give full price.

As for another brand, I like Bissell but don't know if they make something like this.

My Bissell ProHeat 2X CleanShot Upright Deep Cleaner, 9500; flow gauge will not spin and the machine is not dispensing solution with both the solution and water tank full. I have cleaned all inlets where...

No what it means are the tubes that carry the solutions are plugged and most likely full of old detergent that hardened. You will need to clean all the plastic tubing out for the dispensers. When your done using the machine always run clean water only through the dispenser and tube to flush out the detergents.

I can't find my manual for the EcoQuest Safehearth heater, it is showing a E2, I don't know what this means, which then it s not heating. help please

E2 means that the heater senses that it has been tipped over. Unplug it, wait a few minutes and then plug it back in an try it. If the problem persists there are 3 capacitors on the control board in the front of the unit that go bad causing the symptom also. They are tall cylindrical parts that look like short aaa batteries. They are rated at 1000uf 25 volts, 105 degrees C. You can find them on ebay or Digikey.com for a couple dollars each. You will need to solder them in. Pay attetion to polarity so you don't put the capacitors in backwards. That should take care of it for you!

Unit will not run

I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN BY "F/C" LIGHT, BUT IF THE MACHINE IS OVER HEATING THE LIGHT LOOKS LIKE A THEMOMETER. IF OVER HEATING IS THE PROBLEM, ONCE THE MACHINE COOLS IT SHOULD WORK AGAIN.
