Thanks Jahn. I have pulled the motor control board out and found 2 blown fuses 6.3AT and 1.6AT. Can I just solder some wire across these? If so what size? Thanks.

Replace the blown fuses instead of rewiring then check the results. You can get fuses from local electronics store. But if still the problem then check the motor voltage itself. Keep updated.Thanks.

You should check power directly at the motor controller terminals. Remove the 2 screws from the rear of the console then raise the console for access to the Motor Controller Module. Check to make sure the power cord is fully inserted and the connection is snug fit and corrosion-free. Reseat the connection several times to clean off dirt and corrosion build up in the connector and the terminals.

Check the motor controller itself for any obvious sign of damage. The motor controller may been fried causing the machine not to power up at all.

Hi Slam just read your posting. Now on your model of machine the 2 reasons the machine will not power up if you 100% have power at the outlet is 1---The motor controller is faulty or 2---- Your pump is open circuit.Have you got or can you borrow an electrical test meter to test the pump to see if that is the problem? Please reply and let me know now you would like to proceed.Looking forward to your reply.

Hi just read your last posting.Sorry I did not get back to you earlier. Now I have read what Jahn has suggested but please there are a few things to check before you repair your motor controller and activate it.There could be a faulty component on your machine and it could make the processor on the motor controller faulty which means the motor controller can not be repaired and you have to buy a new one.please reply if you need guidance to test the components.

Kenmore H2 front loader washer wont run

see this steps and fix it. God bless you
Check Power
Check the outlet by plugging an appliance into the same outlet the washer was plugged into an running the appliance a hair dryer works good for this it will draw some amperage. If it works fine move on.

Control
To check the control remove the top panel and then remove the console to access the wiring to the control. Find the wire feeding the control from the main power cord. If you cannot visually see this refer to the tech sheet or service manual. Connect voltmeter to the 2 wires feeding the control if it is recieving power and it does not respond replace the control

I have a F & P GW712 washing machine. The unit recently stopped mid cycle. From that point there seems to be no power whatsoever to the machine. What has happened?

Check the diverter valve. My washer did the same thing- cycled until it had to drain, then stopped. I removed the diverter valve, found a piece jamming it open. Removed the crud, reinstalled, works like a champ again.

Gw509 not powering up

Hi just read your posting. Now GW509 is a FISHER@PAYKEL machine. Is this correct? If this is correct then check the power outlet for power with a small appliance. If you 100% have power to the machine then the 2 faults that make this machine not power up are,Your pump is open circuit,or your control module is faulty. Please confirm the make of your machine and I will guide you on how to test the pump to isolate the fault.Looking forward to your reply.

Baumatic BK6EL washing machine will not fill with water, it only lets a cup full in, shuts the water off and starts washing. Any ideas? Thanks, Mandy

One of the most common problems encountered with washing machines that need repairs, including Baumatic machines, is no water coming into the machine or the soap not being taken from the soap dispenser box. There are two main reasons why this could happen, 1. because the water has been turned off inadvertently from somewhere, or 2. because the water inlet valve as become faulty or blocked.
If your appliance is not taking in water the first thing you need to know is if the problem is with the hot or cold supply, to find out you can put your appliance onto a white wash cycle and start the machine this should bring hot water into the machine and you will know within a few minutes if the hot water supply is working or not, and to find out if the cold supply is working or not select stop/reset and then select the drain or spin cycle and this will empty the machine of any water, now select the rinse cycle and this should bring cold water into the machine and you will know within a few minutes if the cold water supply is working or not, once you are sure of the results select stop/reset and then select drain or spin again to empty any water that may have entered the appliance.
At this stage you should know whether the hot or cold supply is at fault, the next thing you need to check is that the water as not been turned off inadvertently, check both the stop **** and the washing machine connector valve/s, to see if you can tell if it as been turned off or not, if you think it as, turn it back on and do the hot and cold cycle test above for the cycle that failed, if the water is still not coming into the appliance you know need to turn the water off from the washing machine inlet valve/s one at a time and slowly disconnect the the inlet pipe/s from the washing machine side and point the washing machine inlet pipe it into a bucket and then turn the water back on, you should be checking to see that the water is on and also that the water pressure is OK.
There is a good chance your appliance could be working OK now, but If the test above shows the water is on and the pressure is OK but the washing machine is still not taking in water, you will need to have t the water inlet valve and or the water pressure switch and water pressure chamber tested, the diagnosis procedure covered here will work for Baumatic washing machines that need repairs, it will also work for most other makes.hope this helps

Fisher and paykel gw509 not draining, pump is clear

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped.
