My Solution to this changhong performance board inside this product is an older model and most are now in the recycaling campains accross the counrty. So I imagine that my pocket book is not as deep and convieniant as some.

Solution to this, My found DVDVCR model was a RECYCLABLE, so I cleaned the lens Dried out the water it had been rained on replaced a fiber cable that the baord had missing, and presto it returned to screen and a split proscan image which I then configured the IR control remotes on a manual seek and then locked in the code and turned off procan features. Now I am enjoying today's movies and VHS casettesto boot. Thank you for allowing me to explore the untapped potential of this knowledge base that hadf triggered my craze of configurated guides. Lauren

How do I dispose of a Mitsu WS-73711 that quit working?

LIKELY it is fixable, most landfills will not take this as it contains Glycol which is a toxic material---If in a large city in the USA for example there are people who will come pick it up for free and send to a recycle center.

Also in USA list it for free on Craigslist or in Canada for example kajiji.

I spent $9 on my Credit Card in hopes to get a maintenance Manual for a WD52527 HDTV. Has this been sent or did I not request one. I need the manual to trouble shoot the problem - Help John

Hello Mr. John
I don't know to whom you did the payment and went in vein.

I've the original service book to your TV; [Mitsubishi WD52527 HDTV]. But I can't send it to you by this window as it does not allow me to upload any PDF files by it, and the document is in PDF format, have two files, with a total capacity of 7.9MB.
If you send your email address to me by Fixya comment box, I'll try to upload the document to you for absolutely free. If Fixya bloks me to upload it, there is no other way to send it to you by Fixya itself, Just send your Email ID to me. Let me get a try. OK.

Tried to auto adjust the guns, will not come within range

Hi Tod,

If colors do not align correctly, most likely you have a convergence failure. This requires replacement of the 2 STK ICs and possibly some low ohm resistors.

Some Toshiba have a Horizontal oscillator/Drive IC failure that results in a small or shrunk picture (2-3" border on all sides). The 3 colors do not align properly because of the reduced Hor drive signal. The convergence adjust controls will work but not allow good adjustment. Convergence is ok, Hor Drive signal is incorrect.

Many do-it-yourselfers mistake the Hor Drive problem in Toshiba RPTV with convergence failure. Too much adjustment of the convergence controls may cause the saved data to be really messed up and require more difficult alignment in the service mode.

If minor or simple adjustments in the customer convergence adjust menu do not fix your problem, there is a fault. Stop adjusting until fault is repaired

Convergence failure can be accurately identified with the Convergence Gallery on our website. Service in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton and other Canada cities.

Need to clean maybe replace Lamp or Bulb

On the back of the set, just below the screen, there will be two thumbscrews: one on the left, and one on the right. Loosen these.

Then pull the front panel below the screen off of the set. It may be stubborn, but if the thumb screws are loose, it will come off.

In the center, you will see a small metal bar with another thumbscrew. Loosen that, and swig the bar out of the way. That will allow you to remove the lamp compartment door.

Once you've done that, you'll see that the lamp cartridge is held in by an Allen head screw. An Allen wrench of the correct size is included with the new lamp. Loosen that screw, and you will then be able to pull out the lamp with the small handle on the cartridge.

Then just install the new cartridge, put all the screws back, make sure that tumbscrew on the metal bar is tight, or the set won't turn on at all, and you're done!

I hope that I have provided the correct information that will assist you in the resolution of this issue. If you have any questions, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I have helped you with your question and/or solved the problem, please take just a moment to rate this post. Thank you!

You can buy TV replacements here, that is one of the biggest worldwide sellers.
If they do not have the part listed, call them, or post a new request on Fixya specifying make and model, and eventually your location.
