Glue is heat sensitive, so you might try a DAMP towel and a iron. Followed by phone books to hold it steady while drying.

SOURCE: how do i restore the surface of my outdoor ping

Hi there,

Use painters tape to cover the white lines of your table tennis table.

Use sandpaper (150grit) to smooth the surface. This will level any bumps or scratches. Fill deep cracks with wood filler, let it dry and sand the table again.
Make sure that the table is clean before you begin the painting procedure.

Use chalkboard spray paint about 8 inches away from the table and spray each side. Allow 8 hours for the paint to dry then repeat with another coat. Next day, repeat the process so you have 3 layers of paint. Chalkboard spray paint helps the ball bounce to the correct height and speed.

Remove the painters tape after the last coat and allow the table to dry for at least 24 hours.
Hope this helps, vote me if so :)

I couldn't find anyone on the net that rebuilds these devices, but I found what looks to be a good discount site, and you might check it out- here it is:

By the time you go to the trouble of trying to get replacement parts, and labor rebuilding it, you might be better off getting a good one at a good price.
You could call around at some furniture repair shops, and they might know if anyone does this kind of repair locally.
Good luck to you, and hope this helps.

How can i protect my furniture and table from my grandchildren's obsession with ping pong?

On the Monkey Business Sports website there is a product that might interest you.
It's a table tennis set called Top Spin, that allows to safely play ping pong indoors without damaging furniture.
The set includes two soft ping pong balls and two soft foam paddles that prevent any furniture and table damage, and a net divided in three sections so that it can be set anywhere, allowing you to pick your grandkids' game location. The whole set comes in a small bag of the size of a loaf of bread, which makes the set even more easily packable and portable.
They would probably appreciate the present and effort and you would make sure that no wooden paddles will scratch your table.
I still would suggest hiding the china though

I would like to attempt to build my own ping pong table for our home. Can anyone send me a guide that will help me with this project?

In my opinion, you may want to rethink this strategy. Although building the table yourself will be less costly and provide you with satisfaction, it is not a good idea. In my opinion, even the cheapest made tables on the market may cost similar to what you would spend on materials and will still be constructed better (no offense). Ping pong tables are very difficult to construct properly and require a lot of skilled work. However, if you are still set on building one yourself, I will provide you with a few links that may be helpful.

What can I do to extend the lifespan of my ping pong table?

You should look into buying a cover for your table for when it is not in use. If you have an indoor table, your options are endless; however if you have an outdoor table, I highly recommend getting a waterproof cover. I will send you a few links with a variety of covers for your table.

How should I be standing when playing ping pong? What do I do with my body?

A good ping pong stance consists of a slight crouch forward and placing your feet shoulder-width apart. Make sure that your knees are bent. Most of your weight should be on the balls of your feet, allowing you to move with speed. Your upper arm should be close (not flush) to your body and your forearm and racket should point forward. In reference to the table, you should be standing so that the tip of your paddle barely touches the edge of the table.
