How do i fix keystrokes that jump backward as I type?

Some Lenovo touchpads are over sensitive and they cause the cusor to slip or jump around. In Control Panel select Mouse or Touchpad. A box will open and you can locate touchpad Properties and adjust the sensitivity. Lenovo also has updated touchpad software/drivers for one or two of the most troublesome models. i was able to reduce the cursor jumping around quite a bit by adjusting the sensitivity, but i still don't think it's a good design.

Jumping Cursor

Make sure your palm or more than one finger is not covering the touchpad. Laptops manufactured before 2013 did not understand "Multi-touch" on touchpads. Use only one finger on the touchpad and problem should be solved. If it doesnt, the touchpad is damaged. Buy a mouse.

Cursor keeps jumping

Hello,

I suggest that you scan your computer with RadarSync so that you can find the latest touchpad driver update for your computer. It's a driver related issue.

Try going into control panel & find the mouse section. See if you can adjust the sensitivty down. You may have a program built in from acer to adjust this too. I reccomend turning off the tap feature on the mouse pad. When they get old they get real touchy. If turning the sensitivity down doesn't work, you can try & see if there's an updated driver or re-install the old one. If all else fails,it's time to head to ebay to find the touch pad.

My touchpad jumps around or the arrow won't move

Keep the palms of your hands away from your touchpad.
Just being "close" to the touchpad is enough to move the mouse-pointer.

My cursor on my toshiba laptop keeps jumping when am typing

Ive seen this problem a few times, the problem is that your accidently or inadvertently touching the touch pad as you type. To fix this just disable the touchpad when your typing or put a piece of paper over it. To disable the touchpad it varies on different models but can normaly be done with a button near it, a FN and F1-8 key combo or through the touchpad driver on the task bar. Consult your manual for information on how to disable this.

well i had the same problem when i first used my laptop,i found that i was touching the touchpad not only with the pointing finger but also with the knuckle of my little finger at the same time, this made the pointer dash around all over the place,i am now able to use it without this problem ,but i rather use a proper mouse.
