I would call Sharp Commercial on this one - no publicly available info on that exact model number - as a matter of fact, the related model numbers do not support SD cards, so your question baffles me.

What kind of a sd card do I need to purchase inorder to expand the memory of my sansa c250

Hello,

It depends on the firmware version of the player,
to determine the capacity and type SD card you can use.
note
player's firmware version can not be interchanged

Look in Settings > System Info for your version:
For 01.xx.xx firmware (c200 version 1) - up to 2GB microSD cards
For 03.xx.xx firmware (c200 version 2) - up to 4GB microSDHC cards

RCA pearl 4GB expandable memory?

The card you are trying to use is likely a high capacity sd card (SDHC). This player does not support high capacity cards, it only supports microSD cards that are non-high capacity (I think most of them are usually 2GB or less, but you can find them up to 4GB).

Sansa c240 and a 4 GB Micro SD HC card.

Sansa C240 can only read SD cards that are NOT SDHC - that means it can only read up to a 2gb Micros SD card.

How to start power and off the power

Reset the player by using a #2 size paper clip and inserting it in the reset hole. Then it should turn on and off properly. See manual for details.

Mustek PVR-H140 shuts down when I insert some SD cards

Yes that's correct newer SD Cards use faster memory chips that are not always compatable, not just with this unit but you can have the same problem with cameras and other MP3 players as well.

The PVR-H140 is quite old now so stick to the older type cards, oh and they dont like being hot swapped, this can cause a shutdown or driver corruption, insert them before turning the unit on.

Micro SDHC use

Yes you can use them. Version 2 players support all size SDHC cards. However version 1 players can only accept 2 gig regular micro SD cards, which can also be used in version 2 players.
HC means High Capacity.
