Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

My Mitsubishi printer keeps giving me a ribbbon/paper error, even though I have a fairly new ribbon and and paper set in. After installing the new ribbon, I printed about 12 sheets before the error started. Is there any way to reset the printer? Can I clean the ribbon sensor? is the ribbon sensor in the middle just up under the print head?

I have a Mitsubishi CP9550dw printer that keeps giving me an ribbon/paper error, even though the ribbon has just recently been replaced, (I have printed about 12-15 prints). Also there is no paper jam, the paper mechanism is working fine. I have unplugged it for a duration of time. Reloaded the paper a lot. Tried to clean what I thought was the ribbon sensor...I think it is a recessed lens just behind the print head and in the middle of the printer. Help. I am losing money as I write. Thanks.

Check your software settings and make sure that the print type is 'direct thermal'. If your software package requires the use of a Windows driver, also make sure that the driver is set for direct thermal printing.
Check your software settings and make sure that the print type is 'thermal transfer'. If your software package requires the use of a Windows driver, also make sure that the driver is set for thermal
transfer printing.
Check to see if there is any dirt on the ribbon spindle gears or on the ribbon motors. For the latter
you will need to remove the electronics cover. If there is dirt in either of these areas, try vacuuming around the motors and/or the spindles to remove as much of the dirt as possible. [IMPORTANT:
Make sure your printer is turned OFF when you vacuum the motors. Keep away from the main logic board.]

My HP 2175 PRINTER keeps giving me an error

Check the default paper settings in the printer sofware, if they are correct then problem may be internal.
You dont mention whether it prints OK though.

I changed the USB port that the printer was connected to and... VOILA...works like a charm with the new cartridges installed. Not sure what the problem was as windows recognized the printer and the drivers were correctly installed before the new cartridges even came into the picture.

Reload Paper constantly shows up

This printer is very finicky about paper loading. I see this error most commonly when using auto-cut roll paper. If the paper edge is not cut perfectly straight, and it is not inserted into the printer perfectly strait, it will give you an error. When it does this, you can simply load the paper and press "cut" instead of "pause" when it says "press pause" and it will cut the paper straight. You can also set it to "Roll Paper Manual Cut" and load the paper, then set it back to "Roll Paper Auto Cut."

My printer (Epson R800) keeps on giving me the error 'Media not loaded correctly'. Even before it's even tried grabbing the paper, it starts blinking red on the paper/trash button. I've never had this

Please make sure that the paper that you are using is included under the printer's paper compatibility list.
Make sure that you are selecting the correct paper type on printer settings.
Trash and re-install the drivers.

The epson printer driver dealing with cd printing is not installed

is there an ok button on that error message? if so just click on OK button and click on a button says manual.
It will let you check on the settings on the printer. paper size should be A4.
on print settings it should let you select on cd/dvd

Note: this only works if you have installed the epson easy print from the epson.com website of your printer model

RX680 Printer Error

Try turning it off and taking out the ink cartridges and putting them back in. If that doesn't work it could be defective. If it's new then it should be under warranty.

"warning Ribbon In" error message

Had the same problem with a ZM400. As stated in the User manual (can be downloaded http://www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/index/resource_library/manuals.results.html?FRRBarcodePrinters=6882), warning "Ribbon in" is usually caused by the wrong printing method (thermal direct instead of thermal transfer [which should be selected for ribbbons]). My error disappeared after choosing "thermal transfer" directly on the printer. For network printers this needs to be set by an admin in the network settings for the the printer to solve the problem permanently.
