Question about Thomson Audio Players & Recorders
It would be helpful if you can confirm what operating system you are using on the new computer. Also does the installation CD tell which operating system is the software for.
Normally when you plug it in using the USB port, the operating system should prompt you for installation CD. Do you get any messages when you plug into the new sytem?

Are you running Windows 7 on your new computer? Some versions of it are not backwards compatible since they are 64 bit Windows, and the older Windows systems are 32 bit.
Does Windows recognize it when you plug it into the usb?
Couldn't find any reports of this on the web, so I'm not sure what's going on.
You might go by Best Buy and talk to their techs about the problem. They're usually up to date on things, and may have a fix.
Otherwise, contact RCA's web site, and here it is:
Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.
