Question about Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 for PC

Missing cab file etc.

When opening Office Excel I get an error message sku011.cab file missing.

I have run regedit and changed the CDcache value from 2 to 0 which was a tip I found which has worked for some people.
Unfortunately for me I received another error message 1311 source file not found. C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\PA561401.CAB verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
I noticed that the file in Delivery on the left side starts 90110409 should it match the DownloadCode on the right side 90000409?

I really don't have a clue and worry about messing with the registry!
Can u help me?
I don't have a copy of the Office 2003 program, so can't reload it.

I went with 'Detect and repair errors in my office installation' but after a while it asked for the CD or to browse for the root of installation. As I did not install this programme and don't have the Office CD I can only assume that there is no other way to fix this problem.

    Thanks for trying

There might be a problem with your ms excel, some files are corrupted and therefore you are unable to open your files..so the best solution is that we can repair your ms excel
for this just goto control panel > Double click on Add Remove Program >select microsoft office > now you will see a option change > just click on it and select Reinstall or Repair' ,on next screen it will ask you for 'Reinstall Office' or 'Detect and repair errors in my office Installation', first go with ''Detect and repair errors in my office Installation, if it doesn't help you go with 'Reinstall Office' ...........

Hi Jay, After a long time i found the best solution for you

Is the un-installation of the previous version ( I assume is Outlook 2003) completed successfully? If not remove it completely from Add/Remove Programs.

Anyway here is the missing file for Office 2003. Try browsing to it at the error message.

    ftp://206.191.114.102/Microsoft%...E/PA561401.CAB

Low feed backs hurt my ratings and I tried my level best to resolve the issue.

If your computer was made by a manufaturer(ie. Dell, HP, Gateway) then you should have a sticker with the Office product key on it. You can then go to Microsoft.com and download office 2003 or so and use your product key to register the software.

MS Office won`t install. Error message refers to missing SKU011.cab file

In start /type run/ Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 11.0 -> Delivery
You should have this key 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9
clik on it and (at the right of your screen), right clik on CDCache key.
and type 0 as new value
also
Go into Registry Editor (Start, Run, "regedit"). Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Office, 11.0, Delivery. There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is your DownloadCode (mine was 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9). Select that directory. On the right side of the screen, right-click on CDCache. Change the value to 0

hope this helps

I have Office 2003 loaded on my PC. I would like

1. Confirm that disc is not damaged in anyway
2. Search for file
a. Start - Search
b. Change search location to CD drive that has CD/DVD
c. enter file name to missing file
3. If search finds the file copy it to desktop.
4. Try install again if it asks for missing file it should give you an opiton for you to find it if this is the case you now have a copy on your desktop to load into it.

I m trying to export the contacts from outlook to excel it is showing error of proo11.msi file

The .msi file contains important settings for MS Office and either the file is corrupt or missing, or there is a problem with your registry or even a hard drive failure.
Long story short: you have to reinstall the file from you original installation CD (in other words: you can not mix "Standard" and "Professional".)

MS has an article about this problem and describes also solutions to it. You find the article here.

MS Office missing sku112. cab file - will not open

Hi Jimday356,

This is a common problem with most migration issues. What i would suggest is, if possible, "rip" your data to another external hardrive (or a thumbdrive) and make sure you copy all data over. I have done this before and i can tell you, the whole data size should amount less than 500mb. In fact, i would suggest that you do the same for all programs that you deem important on your computer, always store them as software on some external drive (or thumbdrives) and have the, updated or refreshed every month or so (to be on the safe side to oprevent data corruption).

Once you have done that, just insert your drive via USB and run the stup file. It should automatically start repairing whatever missing links and resotre all shortcuts on desktops and program files. Hope the suggesiton above helps, else, please let me know and i can instruct you in detail as to a proper alternate procedure.

Error

Hi,

Thanks for your posting in FIxYa.

It seems that the CD by which you are trying to install Microsoft Office 2003 had the *.CAB File missing.

2 Option: It may need some Updates from Microsoft Website. So please download the required service pack for MS office.

ELLIN

When you try to start a Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2003 program, you may receive the following error message or an error message that is similar to the following:

Error 25090. Office Setup encountered a problem with the Office Source Engine, system error: -2147023836. Please open SETUP.CHM and look for "Office Source Engine" for information on how to resolve this problem.

CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:

* Two people installed Office on the same computer.
* Both installations were completed by using the AllUsers="" parameter to set the installation for the installing user account only.
* When both people were prompted to remove files that were copied locally at the end of Setup, both people did not remove the files.
* One of the two people removed Office.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, start the Setup program for Office. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Insert the Microsoft Office 2003 CD in your CD drive or DVD drive.
2. If the Setup program does not start automatically, locate the Setup.exe file on the CD, and then double-click the file to start Setup.
3. After the Setup window appears, cancel Setup, and then respond to the prompts to exit Setup.

Note: You do not have to complete the Setup program. Setup fixes the error condition when it is first invoked.
