Back up all your files using Nokia PC Suite
make sure all info has been back up before doing this

reset your device using *#7370# to factory defaults enter the security code if you have one.

the default code is 1234 or 12345
it will restart

after the restart check if your bluetooth is working thenyou can restore all your files using the PC suite

Unable to delete folders in my nokia x3. When the folders are empty but shows eg: 703gb used. When tied to delete, prompts: Unable to delete.

A. Connect your phone to your system using nokia ovi suite, then try deleting the folders one by one from the subfolders, ok. Sure it works. You can download ovi suite from the nokia website. OR, B. if you are using a windows 7 OS, you can connect the phone by bluetooth to your system. Next type devices and printers, 1. add device 2.Right click on the device to show control device, 3. Click on control device, 4. On the 'control device menu'click on 'browse files on X3 (or phone name). It will request permission from your phone, Accept. 5. Browse your files, and delete them one by one. Hope U find PLAN B understandable. Enjoy

How to connect to laptop?

Hello,

You can connect Nokia 2690 using bluetooth and using Nokia connectivity Cable CA-101 which will fit to the USB port of your laptop.

(NOKIA connectivity cable)

Procedure on how to connect:

1. Bluetooth (This will work with the laptop with bluetooth)

First, remember to turn on the Bluetooth feature and make it discoverable by other devices (My Phone's visibility -> Shown to all) on cell phone, so that it can be detected by laptop.

Then, click on the add devices in the control panel of your computer. Click start> control panel

2. Add Bluetooth Device Wizard window will appear, tick My devices is set up and ready to be found and click Next.

3. The wizard will then search the Bluetooth devices nearby, and will show the found devices. Here the wizard found my cell phone named David. Click the device you want to add, after that click Next.

carloadrian_2.jpg

4. Ok. Here the wizard will ask whether you need a passkey to add your device, so that the communication data between laptop and cell phone will be encrypted later, here I would recommend you to either select Choose a passkey for me or Let me choose my own key. In this example, I select choose a passkey for me.

carloadrian_3.jpg

The wizard will then show the passkey and you need to key in to your cell phone. After that, the laptop will try to install the Bluetooth device. If you have Bluetooth program for your cell phone, you can install it as Windows Vista might have problem to install the device . For my case, I install Nokia PC Suite on the laptop, so I can transfer wallpapers and videos later.

Note: Also your cell phone will get the prompt to accept connection from laptop, and you need to click yes.

5. At last, click Finish to complete the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard.

6. And now, you will see the new bluetooth device added which is your Nokia 2690 phone.

Here's another way on how to connect your cellphone to your laptop.

2. Hard Connection using Nokia connectivity Cable CA-101

carloadrian_7.jpgYou can get this from any nokia stores.

Procedure:

Just connect the other end of the wire to your cellphone and the other end to the usb port in your laptop. Follow the onscreen instructions in your cellphone.

Check your laptop if your cellphone has been detected, once it's connected you can then access your pictures or other files in your cellphone. You can even transfer files.

I hope this helps.

Please rate this solution. Don't forget to leave your comments/suggestions on how I can improve my service.

Thanks..

My nokia 7210 is attecked by hacker through bluettoh.he/she is now browisng using my gprs.how can I resolve this?pleas help me yar

Hello,

If someone is using your gprs to browse through the bluetooth device, all you have to do is to turn off your bluetooth.

You can also deny the persons access to your phone by going to your bluetooth option, search for the hackers bluetooth name and deny him/her the access to recieve or send any file to your phone.

You can aswell type ##002# and send.

Another way is to turn off your phone and turn it on back after some minutes.

Always ensure your bluetooth device is always off.

Take care

Nokia BH-213 unable to Pired with Nokia E-63,it stopped suddenly

I also experienced the same problem. After trial and error I realized that the bluetooth device needs to be reset to fix this issue. You may reset the bluetooth device by deleting the pairings from the headset or reseting the headset. Switch off the headset, and press and hold the multifunction key for over 8 seconds. Start pairing the device again. It should work fine now with default passkey 0000

Sony TXN17P Bluetooth vagaries

Hmmm...

If you can connect manually but it is not connecting automatically, then you have a settings problem either on the phone (less likely) or within the applet on your laptop controlling the bluetooth services. Try that first before reverting to the XP bluetooth software; usually when companies include custom bluetooth software, it is necessary.

If you cannot connect at all...

If you have tried to pair the laptop with the Nokia using the Toshiba applet and it never seems to work, and you've tried adjusting the settings on the phone and in the applet, and you know the bluetooth card is on and running normally on the laptop, I'd suggest uninstalling the Toshiba drivers and software through CONTROL PANEL and then rebooting and see if XP takes control of the bluetooth adapter. If not, try uninstalling the bluetooth hardware in DEVICE MANAGER and then rebooting, which will force XP to do a clean install (including bluetooth support software) and see if this gets you to normal operation under XP. If not, go to the SONY web site and, again, do a clean install of their bluetooth support software for your model, and try again from there. One of these combinations is pretty sure to work.

Make sure that if your laptop has a physical button on it to activate the bluetooth radio, that it is on, and that the device is enabled through device manager/network/connectivity. Any one of these being mis-set can (especially on Sonys) result in a confusing set of inexplicable failure conditions.

Good luck...
