Acer 5000 screen problem

You might have a faulty keyboard or a key may be continuously pressed without you seeing it physically. When you get to that screen again, try running your hand across all the keys a few times and see what happens. If not, just go on ebay and find a cheap one and replace it.

It looks like you need to install the soundcard driver.

You need to go to the link below and under MS Windows XP you need to select the Realtek Audio Driver from Driver and Utilities.

Once you've downloaded the ZIP file and extracted the files, double click on the Setup.exe and follow the Instructions.

Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure youselect the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers youthat require and it matches the Windows version that is installed on yourlaptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -

You need a windows XP CD to repair the windows installation

unfortunatley you are stuck in a windows loop and will need to reformat your PC

Please do the following to reformat

1) Put your recovery disc into your PC and allow the PC to restart
2) The laptop should pick the disc up and boot from it
3) Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the rest of the install

Please ty the following

1) Power on laptop
2) Continuously press the F8 key until a start up menu is presented
3) Choose safe mode
4) Once safe mode has loaded up click on Start>Programs>Accessories>System tools>System Restore
5 Once this has loaded up please choose the option entitled 'restore my computer to a earlier time'.
6)From this calander choose a highlighted black dat to take the computer back to and click next
7) This will restore the PC to a earlier time and hopefully cure the loop your laptop is currently stuck in


If the above fails then unfortunatley you will need to reformat the machine

A Windows system file is corrupt.
The best thing to do is reinstalling the system.
This can be done either using original recovery CD, or using Windows setup disk.

To preserve your data you will need to chose partial recovery or upgrade setup.

Windows XP CDs has also a tool called Recovery Console that can be used to repair this kind of problem.

Here the procedure to fix the problem using Windows Recovery Console:

• Insert Windows Setup CD, then start the computer.
• When Welcome to Setup screen appears, press R.
• When asked, chose the Windows installation you wish to repair (eg 1) , then press Enter.
• When prompted, enter the administrator password .
• When command prompt (DOS screen) starts, enter the following commands./ (if C: is not your Windows system drive, then change the drive letter)
  ATTRIB -H -R -S C:\BOOT.INI
  DEL C:\BOOT.INI
  BOOTCFG /REBUILD FIXBOOT
• Remove the Windows CD from drive and restart computer.

sounds like a problem with the iphone , did you try a different usb port?
